Roger Federer is the Wimbledon men’s singles champion for a record eighth time after a one-sided 6-3, 6-1, 6-4 victory over an injured Marin Cilic on Centre Court.

Cilic appeared to be struggling physically during the early stages of the second set and took a medical timeout for treatment to his left foot before walking out to start the third.

Federer maintained his intensity and quality throughout to wrap up victory in one hour and 41 minutes, a result that earns the Swiss his 19th Grand Slam singles title.
