CHAIRMAN of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Rivers State chapter, Chief Felix Obuah, has said Governor Nyesom Wike’s achievements in two years has surpassed what his predecessor and Minister of Transportation, Chibuike Amaechi, achieved as governor of the state for eight years.
Obuah, who spoke at the PDP secretariat, Aba Road, Port Harcourt, when he received leader of Asari-Toru Legislative Assembly, Orolosama Amaechree, and other leaders of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Asari Toru Local Government Area, who defected to PDP recently, said Rivers under Wike  had made tremendous progress.
He explained that those dumping the APC for the  PDP did so on their own volition and conviction.
According to the chairman, the recent movement of APC members to the PDP was informed by the governor’s resolve to make the state the envy of all.
He said the governor was determined to redeem the image of the state, after Amaechi ruled for eight years “without living any legacy.
“I thank Governor Wike for creating the enabling environment for what is happening today. The good work of the governor is attracting APC members into the PDP. We did not drag any of the defectors into the PDP.
“What Wike has done is enough to convince the doubting Thomases to return to PDP, he has set the pace by using the resources to develop the state.”
