The Chief Executive Officer of AKO Group of Companies, Mr Obiora Atuchukwu has explained that diabetes could be caused by bad meals, lifestyle of individuals as well as negligence of the main solutions to the problem. He also explained that in some cases, diabetes is hereditary.

He stated that every diabetic patient should eat fresh fruit, plain frozen fruit or fruit canned without added sugar, sugar-free or low-sugar jam and no-sugar-added apple sauce.

Atuchukwu also explained  that  whole grains, such as brown rice, oat meal, quinoa, millet, amaranth, baked sweet potato, and items made with whole grains could be taken by diabetic patients. “Other things that are not healthy for people suffering from diabetes include canned fruit with heavy sugar syrup, chewy fruit rolls, regular jam, jelly, and preserves [unless you have a very small portion), sweetened applesauce, fruit punch, fruit drinks and fruit juice drinks. Fruits give you carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals, and fiber. Most are naturally low in fat and sodium. But they tend to have more carbohydrates than vegetables do,” Atuchukwu said.

The AKO Group chief executive also pointed out that diabetics should avoid canned vegetables with lots of added sodium, veggies cooked with lots of added butter, cheese, sauce, pickles, etc. “Also, processed grains, such as white rice or white flour, cereals with little whole grains and lots of sugar, white bread, French fries and fried white-flour tortillas are among the bad meals for diabetics.”

He therefore advised diabetics to make use of Dykure herbal capsule and Diabiz herbal tea as they have the needed properties that are efficacious in dealing with diabetes.“Dykure herbal capsule and Diabiz herbal tea are the best options for diabetes. Diabiz tea is an effective adjutant for pre-diabetes and overt Type 2 diabetes mellitus. It efficiently helps maintain blood sugar level within the normal range, works against insulin resistance and significantly combats metabolic syndrome.

Diabiz tea helps delay the progression of diabetes and the onset of allied complications as well. While two capsules of Dykure are to be taken three times daily, after meals, one tea bag of Diabiz herbal tea should be taken  three times daily. The dosages may be doubled, if required under medical supervision, depending on the condition. Both Indian Ayurvedic formulations can be used together for effective performance.”

Atuchukwu advised that one must be patient enough to complete the dosage before the medicines could work well.
