Police in Ogun State have nabbed some bandits, who, according to them, have been giving residents of the gateway state sleepless nights.

The crime fighters also recovered arms and ammunition from the bandits. The trio of Adebambo Adebayo, Abiodun Oguntuga and Soga Onasanya were alleged to have invaded Igbeba area and were dispossessing their victims of valuable items, when they were rounded up by the police operatives.

Recovered from them were, locally made pistols, axe, charms and other dangerous weapons. According to the Ogun State Police Commissioner, Mr. Hashimu Argungu, a Hiace bus, with the registration number, XM 321 LSDC, was recovered from the suspects.
He disclosed that the bus belonged to Omowood Company Nigeria Limited, Magboro Ibafon, Ogun State.

He disclosed that one of the suspects, Tunbosun Animaseun, was a staff of the company.
He allegedly connived with Rafiu Tijani to steal his employer’s bus before they fell into police net.
The CP explained that one of the suspects, Taiwo Olabiwa, was arrested for impersonation.
The suspect, who owned up to the crime, however, told policemen that the army uniform he was wearing belonged to one of his in-laws, who was a soldier. His game was up as he was planning to buy a police uniform.

The police boss said the suspects would appear in court soon.
