Monday June 26 was a public holiday in Lagos in commemoration of this year’s Eid-el-fitri celebration. The day coincidentally was the day amiable billionaire and King of Africa Oil, Jubril Adewale Tinubu clocked the golden 50 years. As a man of means, many of Wale’s friends and relations had warmed up for the day. As expected, Wale did not throw a lavish talk-of-the-town soiree. For the day not to be devoid of celebration, the oil tycoon held an exclusive birthday dinner at his palatial mansion in Ikoyi, Lagos for select friends amidst presentations of aesthetically balanced meals of contrasting, often quite rich courses. There were little treats of salivating toffee popcorn and classy honey roasted nuts as appertisers and desserts.

Earlier in that day, Spotlight gathered that Wale, being a philanthropist par excellence who abhors the sight of fellow human beings in distress, gave out 50 scholarship awards to 50 students in commemoration of his birthday, while he also made quiet donations to the less privileged just to thank his creator for sparing his life till now.
