Super Eagles captain, John Mikel Obi, has advised Manchseter United youngster, Kelechi Iheanacho to maintain a cool head and wait for his chance.

Iheanacho has been frozen out of the first team set up at the Manchester City as the 20 year old has failed to make the match day squad in their last five games in all competitions.

Mikel who is no stranger to battling for shirts with star names says the competition in the Man City team, that has kept Iheanacho out of the team will help him become a better player in the future.

” Iheanacho will become a better player after this phase, he is a strong lad, a very positive minded being and level headed. He will regain his spot in the team, he just have to keep on working hard in training and wait for his chance, when it comes I know he won’t disappoint.

” Every player wants to play and when you are not getting into the match day squad it can be so discouraging. But I have learnt to always pick the positives from all situation”, Mikel told Owngoalnigeria.com
