The Managing Director of the Lekki Concession Company Limited (LCC), Alhaji Mohammed Hassan, has warned companies, corporate bodies and other private individuals who damage the Lekki-Eti Osa Epe expressway to desist from such or face the wrath of the law.
He gave this warning while speaking on the socio-economic importance of the company to Lagos State and the country at large.
He said: “Illegal cutting of the roads or vandalism is a criminal act. When this happens, it creates potholes, which lead to avoidable accidents on the roads, hence we will not tolerate this.
“Anybody caught either damaging or vandalising government property will be arrested and prosecuted.”
Mohammed said, with the coming of the Lekki, Eti-Osa expressway, the economic value of assets, such as land, housing and other commercial activities in that axis had risen tremendously.
