Enugu State Government has announced the death of Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi’s Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Uwakwe Abugu.
Commissioner for Information, Mr. Ogbuagu Anikwe, in a statement, said Abugu died, yesterday, in a hospital in India, during a protracted illness.
Anikwe said governor Ugwuanyi visited the late Abugu’s Enugu residence, yesterday, to condole with the family.
Abugu was appointed chief press secretary in June 2015.
Before his appointment, he was the South East bureau chief of New Telegraph newspaper.
