Arsenal fans were left with a familiar feeling Monday morning as the Gunners were drawn against Bayern Munich in the last-16 of the Champions League.
The Gunners have been handed tough draws over the last few years, which was mainly down to their failure to finish first in the group stages.
However, Arsene Wenger’s men came out on top this year but were still handed a difficult tie against Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich.
It means the Gunners have drawn the Germans three times in the last four years and many Gunners took to social media to claim that the draw was fixed.
Arsenal have been knocked out by Bayern in the three previous occasions they have met in the knockout stage.
Gunners club secretary David Miles told BT Sport: “We are through to the knockout stage for the 14th consecutive season which is testament to manager Arsene Wenger and the teams throughout that time.
“But the fans will think we have got the rough end of the draw again – at some stage the tide has got to turn and we will beat them.”
Bayern skipper Philipp Lahm tweeted: “Tough draw as Arsenal is in really good shape. Looking forward to seeing my former colleagues from the national team again!”
“There are only 3 teams that you can see one step above everyone, R Madrid, Barça and Bayern. We literally got them 6/8 times in last 8 years. This is beyond a joke, doesn’t matter if you qualify 1st or 2nd Arsenal always gets the worst possible team. Imagine thinking it isn’t fixed,” a fan who goes by the name Spanish Gooner  ‎@ElSpanishGooner wrote on twitter.

First legs are slated to be played on 14 & 15 and 21 & 22 February 2017; second legs on 7 & 8 and 14 & 15 March.
