The Organising Committee of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympics has announced that human resource company Pasona Group Inc. will become an official partner of the Games.
Pasona, who have become Tokyo 2020’s 47th domestic partner, aim to provide “expert services” including temporary staffing, human resources consulting, education, training, overseas global sourcing and career solutions such as placement, recruiting and outplacement.
As expected, the company has been placed into the “Human Resources Services” category of sponsors and will provide personnel support services including hiring, assessment and placement of workers.
Following the announcement, Tokyo 2020 President Yoshiro Mori said: “I am delighted to be able to welcome Pasona as our official supporter.
“Tokyo 2020 has always been very appreciative of the excellent job done by staff recruited for us by Pasona.
“Pasona has long supported the creation of a society in which each person can freely and with pride choose the job they’ve always aspired to, and realise the challenge of their dreams.
“Recruiting talented people is going to be one of the key challenges for us at Tokyo 2020, so it is really encouraging that Pasona will be cooperating with us in the field of human resources.”
Yasuyuki Nambu, chief executive of Pasona, added: “We are honoured and proud to sign a sponsorship agreement with the Tokyo Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
“People from around the world with various dreams and talents will gather for Tokyo 2020.

Pasona also claim they will utilise their experience to support athletes with multiple careers to help them balance a career in sports as well as other jobs.
The Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games are scheduled to take place from July 24 to August 9.
