Ex-international, Mutiu Adepoju, has thumbed up The Sun Publishing Limited in galvanizing support for the Super Eagles ahead the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.

Adepoju, a member of the Super Eagles squad to the USA 94 and France 98 FIFA World Cup, described the Sun World Cup seminar, slated for May 22 in Port Harcourt, as a timely and welcome innovation destined to ginger the national team to excellence in Russia.

Adepoju , showered encomium on The Sun Publishing Limited for the laudable milestone in creating world wide awareness for the Super Eagles’ participation in the mundial, adding that he has no doubt that it will be a huge success.

“ I love the idea. It is a very good one. Sincerely the idea will really boost the moral of the Super Eagles. Although during our period in the Eagles, we were present in U.S.A 94 and France 98, but I don’t think a corporate body set aside a support program for us. Despite this we still went ahead to have a successful outing.

“ I commend The Sun Publishing Limited for this beautiful gesture and I am excited at the calibre of resource persons that will speak during the seminar. Definitely it will be of great value to our boys excel and I see them breaking the jinx. I urge other private outfit to emulate this idea.

“ Aside that, I see the players giving it all at the tournament. Our boys are young and they are hungry for glory. I am convinced this idea will help mobilise them to do more,” he stated.
The Eagles who were pitched in group D alongside Argentina, Croatia and Iceland will begin her World Cup group opener against Croatia on June 16.
