Former Benue Governor, Gabriel Suswam and House of Representatives member representing Buruku Federal Constituency, have emerged winners of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Senatorial primaries for the Benue North East and Benue North West respectively.

However, the election could not hold in Benue South Senatorial district as it was postponed indefinitely following an alleged doctoring of the delegates list by one of the three contenders.

Jev beat three other contestants to pick the PDP senatorial ticket for Benue North West Senatorial District while Suswam who was the sole PDP aspirant emerged unopposed in the primary.

Announcing the Benue North West result on Wednesday morning at the Aper Aku Stadium in Makurdi, Chairman, PDP Senatorial Electoral Panel, Mrs Ifeoma Enigbue, declared Jev winner, having polled 591 votes to defeat his closest rival Mike Mku, who scored 333 votes.
