It was love story with a sad ending as suspected members of the dreaded Badoo cult early hours of Friday killed two lovers in their apartment in Ogun State South west Nigeria.
It was learnt that the cult group smashed the heads of their victims.
Witnesses said that the incident which occurred at a storey building located on Hassan Abiodun Street, off Ojodu Berger, in Ifo Local Government Area of the state left many resident of the area in shock.
Many of the residents were caught in fears as policemen from Ojodu Abiodun Division took away the remains of the deceased for onward transfer to the General Hospital Sagamu.
Many of the residents wailed as the corpses were brought out of the room and wrapped in wrappers.
Witness said that the victims were to be officially married in December.
“The lady recently lost her father and the man she was to marry only came on a visit. She was a tall, beautiful lady and was also pregnant, ” the resident said.
Daily Sun learnt that their suspected Badoo cultist tore the window net to gain entry and thereafter smashed the lovers’ heads.
The spokesperson for the Nigeria police in Ogun State, ASP Abimbola Oyeyemi, has said the state command was looking into the cause of their death.
He said the command has been briefed on how the assailants gained access into the apartment adding that, “We cannot say for sure if the killings were done by the Badoo cult. You know anybody can perpetrate the act and hide under Badoo.”
Suspected members of the Badoo cult had on Friday morning attacked the victims in their apartment in Ogun State.
