Former Super Falcons Chief coach, Ismaila Mabo is shocked and  weeping buckets over the degrading treatment metted out to the 8th time African Champions.

Reacting to the news of the placard carrying Falcons protesting the non-payment of their accumulated bonuses and allowances, Mabo, described it as a terrible embarrassment that  could have been prevented.

Mabo, who won the African title several times with Falcons and led the the team to the quarterfinal stage of the 1999 World Cup,  lamented that the show of shame has gone far and tasked the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), to as a matter of urgency source funds to pay the girls.

“It is a shame things have deteriorated to this level. This is embarrassing to Nigeria as a nation and to the football federation.

“I will advise the NFF to source for funds, even if it means to borrow. The girls deserve their wages and they should be paid so that they can re-unite with their families and clubs.”

To the players, Mabo advised; “ I empathize with your grievances and I urge  you girls to present your cases in a respectful manner.”
