The Sun Publishing Limited, owners of The Sun newspaper titles, have been commended for their unbiased reporting, especially on issues affecting the Nigerian students and the less-privileged.

This was even as the company was encouraged to maintain its hard-earned reputation in the industry in Nigeria.

The commendation was a unanimous rating of students of Caro Favoured Schools at Awodiora, Apapa in Lagos when they visited the headquarters of the company at Coscharis road, Kirikiri, on Thursday.

The students, led by the Managing Director of the school, Ugbamadu Ebuka, along with some staff of the school, said that their study of the reportage of The Sun titles showed that the newspaper was unbiased in its reports and continued to maintain high integrity in the industry.

The students also urged the company to consider making its newspapers available at reduced prices for secondary students in the country.

Speaking at the end of the courtesy visit, Ughamadu thanked the management of the company for the opportunity given to the students to have first-hand knowledge of the working of the newspaper industry. He also urged the company to publish more on students’ needs to achieve their various dreams in the future.

The visiting students were:  Philip Maureen, Ndukwe Chioma, Ijomah Austin, Uguwu Kingsly, Omosebi, Blessing, Ekemezie Chinedu and Chibuike Chidera. Others were Jacob Chibuike, Fashanu Timileyin,   Sanni Habeeb, Okeke Franklyn, Adekunle Sammiat, Ibiam Amarachi, Ononiwu Supreme, Egemonye Divine, Osinachi Daniel, Igwe Chizaram, Onuwujiobi Chinaza, Fredricks Uche and Anyanwu Emmanuel.

Other were Ufoh Rita, Ikegwu Jennifer, Nwachukwu Somto, Obi Uche, Uche Joy, Ohiaeri Chisom,   Ediang Favour, Nwankwo Chisom, Uwem Christiana, Ekeowa Chidi, Ehiwele David, Ezeuofonna Chioma,   Onabanjo Sarah, Nnajiofor Chidera, Mr. Morah, the Civic Education tutor.
