The Senator representing Sokoto Central Senatorial Zone of Sokoto state, Alhaji Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, has donated two million exercise books to pupils and students in Primary and Secondary schools across the twenty three locals governments of the state.

The gesture, according to Wamakko’s Special Assistant on Youths and Students Matters, Alhaji Suleiman Mahmud, was part of senator’s decades-old assistance to the beneficiaries .

“It is the yearly support given to the students so as to enhance their studies.

“We flagged off the distribution of the books at Ibrahim Dasuki Model Primary School, Nana Girls Secondary school and Tafida Aminu Model Primary School, all in Sokoto Metropolis.

“So far, so good , as the exercise is going on smoothly across the entire state . The Senator Without Border deserves a pat on the back,” the senator’s aide disclosed.

A cross section of the pupils and students interviewed lauded Sen. Wamakko,  who represents Sokoto North Senatorial District for the gesture.

They commended him for “Investing in our future and the future of the state and Nigeria”, adding that, education is the only lasting legacy that can be bequeathed on them.

The beneficiaries further appealed to other elected and appointed officials , as well as wealthy individuals to emulate the Senator.
