Saraki promises quick passage of Anti-Hate Speech, Jungle Justice Bills

As the 8th Senate lays out its agenda for the next 22-months, President of the Senate, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, has highlighted that due to the rising tensions in the polity, the passage of Bills to mitigate against hate speech and jungle justice will comprise a major part of the Senate’s social impact agenda when it resumes in September.

In a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr. Yusuph Olaniyonu, Saraki stated that the Senate is ready to give the Hate Speech Bill accelerated consideration when it is presented by the Executive.

“At this point in time, when people are heating up the political and social space with their utterances, the Hate Speech Bill will help to mitigate against verbal attacks or expressions against individuals or groups on the basis of ethnicity, religion, and even gender.

“This will help to send a clear message with accompanying punitive measures to those negative elements in our society that are fond of distasteful comments that hurt, offend and provoke retaliation,” the President of the Senate said.

Saraki also stated that the Anti-Jungle Justice Bill (SB. 109), which is sponsored by Senator Dino Melaye, (APC-Kogi), will also help to curtail, protect and prohibit Nigerians across the country from meting out extra-judicial justice to perceived offenders without recourse to statutory legal channels.

“There have been many cases of extrajudicial executions across the nation. We all remember the “Aluu Four” incident, and several other notorious cases of phone and food thieves being set ablaze. We cannot have a situation where people feel that they can take the law into their hands,” Saraki said, “Therefore, we must put in place careful stopgaps and penal measures to protect the sanctity of our communities.”

The Senate President also stated that the Committee on Judiciary and the Rules and Business Committees of the Senate would work to ensure that Anti-Jungle Justice Bill is quickly passed and sent to the House of Representatives for concurrence.

Biafran strike point number one is the enemy’s barracks and thugs in Biafraland of the five south east states. God Is With Us!!!

@Okeke. How old are Imo, Anambra, Abia, Enugu and Ebony states i.e the five south east biafra land? Who created Anambra, Abia, and Ebony states?. Your name shows that you are a christian but your contribution on this plateform confirmed that you are neither a true christian nor a true igbo because a true christian and true Igbo I known from my childhood are very peaceful and in crisis situation they becomes part of solution and not part of problem when to be neutral they maintain sense of maturity and understanding in proffer solution to national issue without bias, discrimination, fear or favour these are qualitities of Godly person and a patriot. The regime and the leadership that created these five states were your enemy of which if you truely know the value state creation the former head of states Gen. These proposed bills will neither redressed the fundamental problems in all ramification that characterised a democratic society that defined an educated and civilised society where respect for rules of law prevailed over respect for Money nor diagnossed the real causes of the sickness of a society where its claimed itself as a religious society with uncountable places of worship and the Holy-Scriptures they preach, teach and propagated failed to prevents them doing bad, failed to changed their bad character and transformed them to a Godly people however if God law/words failed to changed a sicked society how could it possible for man made laws to succeed?. The so called anti-hate speech and jungle justice bills are testimonies that all the institutions hold a society had failed the famiy, the religion, the schools, the political leadership and the followership and these is also a manifestation of lacked of patriotism, lacked of political and democratic orientations which directly allowed hate speeches to influences the society because the society already has a divided minds that dwelled on fabricated historical hatred, unwarranted feelings of being marginalised and sense of not seeing what is good in other tribe, ethnix, culture, religion, region and values.

The Moon, thanks in a million times for correcting our beloved brother, (Mr. Eziekel OKEKE) as necessity objectively requires!

But, you seemed to hid your true name-identity!

    Why?

For that, Mr. Eziekel OKEKE is more righteous than you are!

But, on a lighter mood, ok!

However, don’t be afraid of anything, except to fear and obey true God Almighty, the real Creator of us all, in spirit and in truth (JOHN 4:23-24)!

Don’t hid your true name-identity, especially in this platform anymore!

Please make it clear known, especially in this platform as well!

And millions of thanks to you again!

Dr. Bukola Saraki was a professionally trained medical doctor, just like his biological father!

But, his quest for political power does not allow him to sincerely reflect on democractic professionalism anymore!

He appeared to be more politically self-centered, especially more recently!

“Juggle justice” is obviously deceptive in this reflection of his current statement!

How sincerely all-inclusive are they in facing the diverse socio-political problems and challenges in today’s NIGERIA?

They, as usual, are more concerned with their daily, weekly, monthly and Annual allowances, including their sitting allowances, at the obvious detriment of other NIGERIANS and NIGERIA economy!

The disgraceful acts of physical combats and open fights between the members in the National House of Assembly sittings, that kept reoccurring often, what have they, in the said “National House of Assembly” done to democractically dignify themselves with due process of human respect to each others opinions, with the civilized, self-control and self-discipline?

Don’t they know that they are bringing serious disgrace to the NIGERIANS and NIGERIA before the Global communities?

Alongside the said “hate-speech bill” they should really work on their individuality and undemocratic behaviors as well!

It is unavoidably necessary and so important also!
