Super Eagles and Arsenal striker, Alex Iwobi has sent a warming shot to the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon ahead of the Russia 2018 World Cup qualifier on September 1 at the Nest of Champions in Uyo.

For Super Eagles handler, Coach Rohr, the goal is a good motivation that his frontline will return to potency and grab the much needed after falling to South Africa in the AFCON 2019 qualifier.

It is hoped that with the win, all other Super Eagles players would brace up to ensure victory for the team against the Cameroon side coached by Hugo Broos.

Iwobi scored Arsenal’s only game in regulation time in a 1-1 draw against Bayern Munich, thanks to his late goal before going on to win the tie 3-2 after penalty.

Robert Lewandoski gave Bayern the lead in the 9th minutes from the spot. A score the Germans hanged onto the half time break, thanks to the efforts of Arsenal shot stopper Peter Cech.

Cech was on hand to make more saves to keep Arsenal in the game, before Iwobi drew the gunners level in the 93rd minute to preserve Arsenal unbeaten run in pre season games.

Arsenal went on to edge the game 3-2 on penalty to the delight of manager Arsene Wenger who reckoned the late goal from Iwobi gave them the win.

Arsene Wenger‘s side had been on the receiving end of a 5-1 thumping in the last three matches against Bayern.
