When the news of the appointment of hardworking founder of the Africa Fashion Week London and Nigeria, Princess Ronke Ademiluyi as Heritage Ambassador for Queen Moremi Ajasoro Legacy by the Ooni of Ife, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi hit the airwaves early this week, it was roundly applauded as another feather to her illustrious wings.

Ademiluyi, a Princess of Ile-Ife was appointed the official representative of Moremi, the Ife heroine, in recognition of her efforts in promoting African culture through the biggest international gathering that celebrates African fashion.

By the appointment, Ademiluyi is expected to develop sustainable avenues that would boost the 12th century legacies of Queen Moremi and seek strategic partnerships and collaborations; generate and design activities that will promote and sustain the iconic legacies of the Ife queen.

Not a mean task though, Ademiluyi seems capable of achieving the task. Her recorded achievement in the area of fashion is a testimony. The Rukkies Couture boss said the engagement was very central to the mission of Oba Ogunwusi’s global reenactment of the Yorùbá culture. She added that the appointment had tasked her to set out a roadmap on how the vision would be delivered and build passions of amazing heroism.

Ademiluyi, a British-born  Nigerian is a trained lawyer who chose to be a fashion entrepreneur. She founded AFWL in London in 2011 and the outfit has grown to become the largest gathering of its kind in London. The seventh edition of the annual fashion fiesta holds in August at the iconic Freemasons Hall in London.
