Minister of Transportation, Chibuike Amaechi said yesterday that he ran a transparent administration when he held sway as governor of Rivers State denying Monday’s statement by Governor Nyesom Wike that he has proof of his corrupt acts as incorrect.

Amaechi, the immediate past governor of Rivers declared that Wike has no concrete evidence to prove his deceitful allegations of corruption against him.

He said, in a statement by his media office,  that he ran a transparent administration devoid of all the spurious acts and practices Wike  attributed to him.

Wike, on Monday, while addressing traditional rulers in Port Harcourt, alleged he had  overwhelming evidence of Amaechi’s corrupt acts while he was governor of the state.

Amaechi’s media office dismissed the claim and accused the Wike of deliberately engaging in a provocative and false claims.

“Wike has nothing, we mean absolutely nothing concrete to prove his claims.

“Nigerians were shocked a few days back when Livingstone Wechie, the young man Wike used to accuse Amaechi of corruption and write false and frivolous petitions to the National Assembly and Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), confessed freely and openly, that all the documents he used to wrongfully portray Amaechi as corrupt when he governed Rivers State, were phonies and forged documents”.

“It is ludicrous and appalling that Wike is still talking about his commission of inquiry, when Livingstone Wechie also admitted that the forged documents was what was used as the template, the basis for the Justice Omereji-led Judicial Commission of Inquiry…,” the statement  said.
