A human rights organisation, on Thursday, asked Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Ministry, to provide information about Mohammed Nayef, former crown prince, who is reportedly under house arrest.

The media reported that Nayef, who was also interior minister, was confined to his own palace, immediately after the announcement that he had been replaced with Mohammad Salman, as a crown  prince.

It was also reported that Nayef’s guards were replaced with the guards loyal to the new crown prince.

The Human Rights Watchdog also said that Nayef was barred from leaving the country.

The Saudi Foreign Ministry regarded reports as “baseless and false.”

The organidation also accused Saudi Arabia’s authorities of repeated violations of the international laws as well as the country’s own legislation on freedom of movement and detention terms.
