Nigeria and new CSKA Moscow striker Ahmed Musa has revealed his reasons behind his move to the Russian Premier League.
He said Moscow’s consistency in fighting for top honours is what lured him back to the club as he completed his move from Leicester City this week.
The loan deal which will last until the end of the current campaign was completed on Tuesday after failing to make an impact at King Power Stadium.
Musa failed to make a single appearance in the English Premier League for the Foxes this season and made just one appearance which was in the Carabao Cup.
“I am very happy and proud to be back. This is truly my home, champion team that fights for the top awards and occupies highest places. I am back to red-blue family!,” CSKA quoted Musa on Twitter.
During his first spell with CSKA, the Super Eagles international made 125 appearances and netted 42 goals.
He won three Russian top flight league titles (in 2013, 2014, 2016), one Russian Cup in 2013 and two Russian Super Cup titles between 2013 and 2014.
