The circus will never end so long as politics is business and not service in Nigeria. 2019 is not far and money must be packed up in tanks, soakaway pits, special vaults in the mansions of Nigerian politicians. Visit their homes and look up around and you bow for Nigerian politicians. Look at the shenanigans on the big catch of raw cash in the home of our big men. Where is OccupyNigeria Group? Shame on all of us who allow few people to make us their slaves. Pay the peanuts salary, no way. Pensions and gratuity nko? whosai! Yet they paint our streets red with their loots! Shame!

Abdulfatah, when Lai Mohammed laundered whistle-blowing service with attractive five percent payment of the recovered loot to the whistle blower, who did not know that some Nigerians would go out there scouting for cash carrying people to whistle blow to EFCC so they could become millionaires through “ameboism” called “whistle-blowing” overnight? What makes EFCC’s cash impounding exercise comical is their pretence of not knowing owners of such cash when the identity of the whistleblower is known to them. A whistleblower is somebody in a very close contact with the cash owner, possibly his confidant. Does the fact that someone is found with unusual sum of money mean that he made it through corrupt means? And the courts are ruling forfeiture to government of such sums. That confers the right on government to spend the money while ownership is still pending. What does one make of that than corrupt acquisition of corrupt funds by government through judicial complicity? The court ruling should have avoided the use of “forfeiture” but instead “put in safe custody” of the Central Bank until the sum is judicially proved to have been corruptly acquired at which time it could be ruled forfeited to government. Honestly, this anti-corruption war, by its handling, is stemming out of usual world wide system into a ridiculous dimension. The way things are going, the whole exercise might be adorned with the garb “balderdash” in the end. The only way for EFCC to resolve ownership denials of the Ikoyi trapped cash is to get the whistleblower on it to name the culprit. The whole drama is nauseating and demeaning of this country. May God save Nigeria, Amen.

Now that EFCC is doing wonderful work in recovering our commonwealth from never-do-well leaders through the whistle blowing policy, Nigerians should support the effort of PMB to end corruption in governance so that Nigeria can move forward. NASS should confirm Magu as EFCC chairman because of the good work he is doing unless the lawmakers have skeleton in their cupboard which they don’t want Magu to expose.

Abdulfatah I thank you very much for drawing the attention of your teaming readers to the new show in town, which is titled cash recovery. That our nation has descended from the absurd to the ridiculous is no longer news but what is news and amusing at the same time painfully, is that certain people paid by the state with public funds are busy congratulating themselves for the wonderful job they think they are doing, while discerning Nigerians are covering their faces in shame. I must commend the whistle blower policy of the government, which the agency it is meant to assist in doing its job, is grossly mismanaging its effectiveness. Let all the stolen funds be recovered because the nation needs them for the much needed development, but please before you go public with your find, make sure that every loose end is neatly tied. For example, the huge sum said to have been discovered in luxury apartment in Ikoyi Lagos should not have generated so much skepticism from the citizenry if at the time of announcing their find, the name of the owner of both the apartment and the cash was made public. This would have earned the agency a very big applause. But the way they have gone about it just like in most other cases, reasonable watchers are left with no other choice than to question the credibility of the claim and the professionalism of the body and its operatives. Thanks.

When will this cash circus end? Please Mr. Oladeinde, look my company is in PPP with a state government doing fixed cost govt workers housing estate. As I write Buharinomics has increased prices of materials by more than 300%.
Please I beg in the name of God, tell EFCC, DSS, NIA or any custodian of abandoned monies to direct them to my govt workers’ project and the economy as well workers will be very very very grateful. I am pleading and begging around. The project needs help and please forward to EFCC, DSS, CBN, even to Presidency. Thanks.
