I read your article, Buhari and Obasanjo’s red card. I can deduce that you are soliciting for Nigerians’ change of heart if Buhari changes his style of administration for the better.

But, I can assure you that he cannot change because he knows nothing about the act or art of leadership. I don’t know how old you were when Buhari ruled as military head of state. He was not only clueless, but wicked by denying Nigerians of essential commodities and there was serious hunger in the land. If you give Buhari eternity to work on Nigeria, Nigeria will continue to be a shithole

To say you hit the nail on the head last week is an understatement.  The only thing I think is more destructive than this presidency is the Nigerian civil war. Those who think Obasanjo’s letter is a wake-up call to Buhari miss the point because even an earthquake cannot wake the man.

From his body language, it is clear that the man wants to continue in office beyond 2019 and will do anything to do so. But, I think only those who are not okay desire the elongation of the misery of Nigerians in the hands of the current leadership. But, I know that God will not abandon Nigeria. Keep talking, I know Nigerians are listening.

Obasanjo’s letter to President Buhari not to contest in 2019 is a welcome call for his government to sit up for seriousness over allegations of him not doing well. It is now left for PMB to change his dancing steps of governance before 2019 to prove his critics wrong. Despite that, I hold Obasanjo in high esteem. But, what is the condition of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway as a former president of this country? Where, also, is the Abacha loot recovered? Ghana must go was introduced during his government

Obasanjo has no red card. He is a finished man. Nigeria is not his property. Under Obasanjo, the chief law officer of this country was assassinated, Funsho Williams was murdered. Harry Marshall and Dikibo were all killed. National Assembly was always bribed for passage of bills and approvals. Anambra Government House was burnt and Chris Ngige kidnapped.

Odi and Zaki Biam were invaded and people were killed even more than by the political Fulani herdsmen.

How much did Obasanjo recover as stolen money? How can he have a red card for a man that has vehemently refused to compromise the National Assembly? So, Obasanjo has no red card. It is only Nigerians that can have red card for a thieving president and his gang. It is so sad that some journalists celebrate Obasanjo. This man violated people’s rights in this country and got away with it. He had ample opportunity to build this country but did not. He rather left it in tatters

Re:Why hersmen menace is political

Your submission that Fulani herdsmen’s criminal acts are political is unquestionable. What else does one need to know or say to disprove it, when the security agencies and the presidency have not as much as put them in check, let alone arrest and prosecute them as required by law? Where in the world is open grazing in vogue in this century except in   countries led by primitive minds? Apart from that, herdsmanship is a private business.

On the herdsmen issue, I believe in the interdependence of Nigerians. Nobody is inferior. No amount of blackmail or anti-herdsmen propaganda can stop our people from continuing to celebrate their ceremonies with cows. We need them side by side with our peasant farmers to move the nation forward.

As we mourn our loved ones, we should not allow the voices of dissent in our midst to becloud our sense of reasoning. We should all have it at the back of our minds that the life of a Fulani man is as important as that of an Ijaw or a Tiv man as both of them contribute immensely to the growth and development of the country as our soup remains incomplete without meat or fish. We all need protein for growth. So also, we need yams and cassava etc. We should all learn to live in peace and avoid crisis.

Apart from Obasanjo’s letter, I have also found time to study the comments of Adebanjo, Comrade Odumakin, Dr. Fasheun and Governor Ayodele Fayose.  They all got it very wrong. Though, I don’t support a child abusing his parent, the Bible too. But, we should not forget Iyabo Obasanjo’s letter to her father So, Obasanjo lacks the moral right to castigate PMB, no matter what.

Few Nigerians will pray for a corrupt government to again castrate the economy. The economy is now picking up from recession, Electricity supply across the country is improving, compared to the past when we had perpetual darkness.

Obasanjo’s other missiles notwithstanding, President Buhari will still remain in the saddle until May 29, 2019 because of genuine reasons that many cannot see.  Even Babangida who instituted corruption and bad governance said his government can be considered a saint compared to the PDP civilian government. If some people are opposed to Buhari’s second term, it must be based on seasoned arguments and well marshaled facts. They should not allow personal prejudices to eclipse these.

The gentle friendly Fulani herdsmen we used to know and see in those days are quiet different from the heartless bloodthirsty herdsmen we know of today.

The murderers should know that the world will never be forsaken for them since the animals are now more precious to them than human beings and if they succeed in eliminating all the farmers on our soil, one day, they themselves will look for food to eat and not see
