This was contained in a statement released in Kano on Tuesday by DSP Magaji Majiya, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state.

Yusuf gave the assurance on Monday at a meeting with the leadership of the Igbo community in the state.

The commissioner also assured the Igbo of the commitment of the command to ensuring the safety of their lives and property like every other Nigerian living in the state.

“The meeting is to assure you of the commitment of the command toward ensuring safety of your lives and properties as every other Nigerian living in the state,’’ Yusuf said.

He called on Igbos living in the state to remain calm, continue to carry out their businesses lawfully and live peacefully with other ethnic groups.

In his remark, Eze Igbo Kano, Dr Boniface Ibekwe expressed gratitude to the commissioner for summoning the meeting “at this crucial time’’.

Ibekwe also extolled the virtues of the people of Kano State, saying they are tolerant and well-mannered toward other ethnic groups living in their midst.

He called on all Igbos and other ethnic groups in the state to remain calm “as Kano remains our state of origin where most of our children were born and brought up’’.

He also urged them to continue to pursue their legitimate businesses without fear of harassment. (NAN)

The Kaduna Declaration is not about Igbos, it is about Biafrans. Not all Igbos decided for Republic Of Biafra, it is about the majority Igbos that rightly decided for Republic Of Biafra, by so doing become Biafrans. The irrelevant few Igbos that decided to exist in slavery in the poor northern bandits’ fallen entity nickname Nigeria has reasons to stay in the north of Nigeria and face their fate in the hands of their poor northern masters.

Those Igbos that are not in suport of Biafran are those carword and fulish element that are parading with boko haram and headsmen. Using the headsem to kill their people because of hatred they have for their own peoolein their interest of poitics.

I will like my fellow Igbos to know that, they are Igos that is dreaming day by day to see their brothers dead.

The same to Edo states people and Delta where these headsmen are slaouthering their chidren and women. Non of them are talking but only talk they will come out to talk is by telling people, we are not Biafran while your people are dieying.
What a useless hypocritical people, just to have favour from the Northerners while the same Northerners are killing your own people.

Those politicians that are saying they are not Biafran are those useing Fulani Headsmen to kill their fellow Deltans and Edos.
They are using their people for rituals. Listen my people, without any indigin in the mix of headsmen, they can not come in and kill.
How can somebody in these killing by the housa people in their states, right from the alagamention till date, knowing fully well that these people only interetsed to kill, get joy and happiness only when they kill, an indigin of South South and South East will stand with his fit on the ground will open his mouth to tell me to stay with these people will bring good future.

These to let you know that he has some skeleton in his wordrop with the Housas.
But thunder will visit such people, their generarion will never escape killing, any where they like, let them take their family, they must be killed.

Since they have decided to use the life of others to play politics.
