Kano State governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has called on newly recruited players of Kano Pillars to give their very best promising that they won’t regret their action.
While addressing them last Thursday at Sani Abacha Stadium, Kano shortly after their training before they moved into a-two week closed camping in Kaduna for the last phase preparations ahead of the 2016/2017 NPFL season made the promise assuring them that they are in good hands.
The Governor who spoke through the chairman Kano State Sports Commission, Alhaji Ibrahim Galadima assured them that they would not regret joining Kano Pillars Football Club.
Dr. Ganduje said his administration would continue to do its best in maintaining the status of the club being the best in terms of players’ welfare among football clubs in the country.
He pledged that by the first week of January, the salary problem of some   new players in the team would be history and urged them to be patient.
On the camping, the governor charged both new and old players to use it as an avenue of promoting unity and understanding among themselves for the success of the club in the forthcoming season.
“You should be aware that government and the good people of Kano State are behind you and they want you to revive the wining mentality of the club that people know you for,” the governor said.
Responding the Technical Adviser of the club Kadiri Ikhana thanked him for the visit and assured that both technical crew and the players currently in the team would do everything humanly possible to meet the set goals at the end of the season.
