Paramount ruler of the Tiv nation, the Tor Tiv, His Eminence Prof. James Ayatse has expressed hope that President Muhammadu Buhari would give assent to the Peace Corps of Nigeria Bill passed into law by the National Assembly.

He believed that the law seeks to address a “striking problem”, peace.

The Tor Tiv indicated this when he received the National Commandant of the corps, Ambassador Dickson Akoh in his Palace in Gboko, the administrative headquarters of Tiv Kingdom.

The Commandant was at the Palace on a visit to celebrate and congratulate the monarch on his ascension to the position of the most powerful Tivman world wide.

The Tor Tiv reminded Akoh that any noble venture encounters opposition and assured that he would not resign his support until the law receives the president’s assent.
