The leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in Ebonyi State, on Tuesday, lashed out at a former governor of the state, Mr. Martin Elechi, over the latter’s recent media attack on his successor, Engr. David Umahi and the PDP.

Elechi had, in an interview with newsmen, claimed that he left the PDP because its chapter in Ebonyi “got bedevilled by impunity, corruption, lack of respect for democracy, and insensitivity to public opinion.”

But replying Elechi, the PDP warned the All Progressive Congress (APC) to be wary of the personality of the former Governor which it described as a man of unsteady character.

The State Chairman of the party, Barr. Onyekachi Nwebonyi who handed down the warning in Abakaliki stressed that the former Governor who is now over 80 years of age had lost honour and respect among the political class and in the political arena of the state because of his self-imposing nature.
