…Ss reconciliation meeting begins in Ekiti Govt. House

The reconciliation meeting of the South-West wing of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) is on-going now at the Presidential Lodge in  Ado-Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital, saying those who failed to see the party as theirs and follow the path of disunity would be expelled.

In attendance at the meeting are party state leaders from Oyo, Ogun and Osun states.

Other leaders sighted by Daily Sun included former governor of Ogun State, Otunba Gbenga Danile, former Deputy Governor of Osun State, Senator Iyiola Omisore and others.

Chairman of the party reconciliation Committee, Governor Ayodele Fayose, of Ekiti State, who hosted the party leaders that comprises leaders the state South-West zones from the grassroots to the state level, urged party members to embrace reconciliation to allow the party to move forward.

Informing that Caretaker Committees would be set up for Ogun, Oyo, Osun and Lagos chapters of the party, he sounded a note of warning to members who allowed themselves to be misled by a leader of the party from Ogun State, Senator Buruji Kashamu, and treated that members who fails to see the party as their and follows the path of disunity may be expelled.

“We are open to members whose conduct shows that the party is theirs and should progress. We should expect people who do otherwise. We should not allow money that we want blind us from values that would promote the party. Don’t put your career on the line like the money-miss roads like Kashamu. We are going to settle up care-taker committees for Osun, Oyo, Ogun and Lagos states while the status quo would remain in Ekiti and Ondo where the issue of leadership has been settled, ” he said.

Daily Sun gathered that Oyo and Osun states are reconciling today while other states would have their reconciliation meetings tomorrow.
