The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chairmen in Anaocha, Njikoka and Dunukofia local governments of Anambra State have endorsed a legal practitioner, Mr. Ugochukwu Adileje for the House of Representatives for their federal constituency next year.

Giving the endorsement at a forum at Aguluzigbo in Anaocha local government, which attracted stakeholders in the area, the chairmen namely, Chief Jude Ezeani for Anaocha, Mr. Hyginus Anaeto for Njikoka and Mr. Chigbo Dibiaezue for Dunukofia, said they found Adileje most suitable to represent Anaocha/Njikoka/Dunukofia federal constituency in 2019 going by his background and record.

Speaking separately at the forum, the trio said they were already mobilizing PDP members in their areas to ensure that Adileje secured the party’s ticket to enable him contest the February 2019 election.

They noted that Anaocha/Njikoka/Dunukofia federal constituency being one of the largest in the country, needed a vibrant person with the right connections, who could attract the dividends of democracy to the area.

Observing that erosion menace, which is one of the greatest problems facing the constituency, had not received the attention it required, the chairmen hoped that Adileje would make the issue a priority if elected into the National Assembly.

In his speech, Adileje promised that he would not disappoint the people of the constituency, adding that he had already articulated a blueprint on how he would tackle the erosion, which had affected all the communities in the area, as well as other issues affecting the various communities in the constituency.

Commending PDP stakeholders for the confidence reposed in him, the aspirant assured them that he would not disappoint them if given the mandate.

He said, “I have been a very loyal PDP man. I have not jumped boat in my political career. I am a dedicated person and I have been impacting on the lives of others. I have mentored so many people and influenced a lot of things in and outside the party.

“With all that, I think it is time for me to come out and contribute fully towards the development of the larger society in Nigeria. I also believe that only loyal PDP members can win elections in the party.

“I know I have great potential, which is an added advantage for my aspiration. This matter is not just one offering himself for service, but whether one has the capability and I know that I have the capability.”
