Vice President Yemi Osinbanjo arrived, on Tuesday, Yola, Adamawa State, on a one-day working visit to inaugurate the North East humanitarian innovation hub.

It is a scheme designed to equip young people and vulnerable groups in the north east with the relevant skills and technical-know-how to support themselves and help in addressing the humanitarian crisis caused by the Boko Haram insurgency in the zone.

The vice president is also expected to hold a town hall meeting with members of the various government social intervention programs in the state such as the N-power scheme, the school feeding programme among other initiatives introduced by the President Buhari-led government towards assessing the progress of the programs and creating effective means of addressing challenges related to the implementation of the programmes.

Adamawa state deputy Governor, Martins Nasir Babale, led top state government officials to welcome the vice president to the state at the Yola International Airport.
