PRESIDENT Muhammadu Buhari and his deputy, Yemi Osinbajo are expected in Akure, capital of Ondo State, today, to lead the campaign of the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, Chief Rotimi Akeredolu.

The president was earlier scheduled to visit the state, last week, to kick off the campaign but the visit was later put off.

A statement issued by the party’s Public- ity Secretary in the state, Prince Abayomi Adesanya said Buhari would address party supporters at the Democracy Park, Akure.

Also expected at the rally are National Chairman, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun; National Leader, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu; Senate President, Bukola Saraki; Speaker Yakubu Dogara, among others.

Adesanya said Governor of Imo State and Chairman of APC Governors’ Forum, Owelle Rochas Okorocha; Governor Solo- mon Lalong of Plateau State and Chair- man, National Campaign Committee of the party, would also accompany the president to the state.

He said Buhari’s visit was not only to campaign for the victory of his party’s can- didate, but, also, to show his love for the people of the state.

He urged the people of the state, es- pecially APC members, to troop out en masse to welcome the president and his team.

Ondo State governorship election is billed for Saturday, November 26.
