Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki has approved the appointment of Mr Ebomhiana Musa, former News Editor of The Sun, as Chief Press Secretary to his deputy, Hon. Phillip Shaibu.
He also appointed Kingsley Omiyi Ehigiamusor as deputy chief of staff.
A statement from Obaseki’s Chief Press Secretary, Mr John Mayaki said Ehigiamusor, a public affairs commentator, was the minority chief whip of Edo House of Assembly from 2007 to 2015 and chairman, Committee on Judiciary, Public Petition and Legal Matters. He is from Igueben local government area of Edo State.
Musa, who is from Etsako Central Local Government of the state, is a journalist with about three decades of journalism experience, cutting across various media houses in Lagos. He holds a first degree in English,  from the Lagos State University, and a Masters in Communication Arts from the Ambrose Alli University, AAU.
He was the pioneer News Editor of The Sun Newspapers and later, became Special Projects editor of the paper. In November 2010, Musa was appointed Special Adviser (Media) to ex-speaker Dimeji Bankole and later, became made senior special assistant on media to the immediate past Edo governor, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole. A union activist, Musa was the former vice president of the Nigeria Union of Journalists and a board member of the governing council of the Nigeria Institute of Journalism in Ogba. His appointment has been commended as “a good one to complement his boss, Comrade Phillip Shaibu, a notable activist and former president of NANS.”  Ehigiamusor and Musa  appointments take immediate effect.
