The Benin monarch, Oba Ewuare II, has reaffirmed Mr. Osabuohien Uhunmwangho as Okaeghele of Ôbaretin village, in Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Area of Edo State

The royal father gave the judgment yesterday, at Ogue-Emanton, in his palace, while presiding over matters affecting villages, families and individuals.

He said the position of Okaeghele remains valid since there was no outstanding Odionwere (Village Head) in the community.

Oba Ewuare II said Mr. Jonathan Imasuen, who is next to the late Odionwere, has no right to appoint a new Okaeghele, since he (Jonathan Imasuen) has not been made Odionwere of the village by the palace.
The monarch, therefore, directed Jonathan to stop, forthwith, using some youths to intimidate and embarrass inhabitants of the village.

He, however, affirmed Osabuohien Uhunmwangho as the rightful Okaeghele  and further enjoined him to join forces with the Enogie (Duke) of Ôbaretin to bring peace and overall development to the area.
On his part, the Okaeghele of Ôbaretin, Osabuohien Uhunmwangho, who hailed Oba Ewuare for the judgment, said the decision of the monarch will bring about peace and tranquility in the community.
