The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Kaduna State Command, said on Tuesday that it had deployed 5,000 personnel to ensure hitch-free Eid-el-Fitr celebrations in the state.

This is contained in a statement signed by the Ascii Terzungwe, the Command’s Public Relations officer and made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Kaduna.

The statement quoted the NSCDC Commandant in the state, Alhaji Modu Bunu, as giving the assurance in a Sallah message in Kaduna.

Bunu expressed readiness of the command to collaborate with the residents and other security agencies to ensure hitch free Eid-el-Fitr celebrations in the state.

The commandant urged members of the public to report suspected objects, acts and persons to security agencies for necessary action.

He said that uniformed and plain cloth armed personnel had been deployed to prevent any breach of peace before, during and after the Eid-el-Fitr celebrations.
