Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr has said NPFL stars can still push for places on his final squad for next year’s World Cup.

Rohr has overlooked the NPFL players for forthcoming games against Algeria and Argentina with the exception of goalkeeper Ikechukwu Ezenwa on the premise that the league is on break.

“The players have a chance to show to me what they can do at the CHAN (in Morocco),” said Rohr on a radio programme monitored by SCORENigeria

“They don’t play now, they are on holidays, but there is the CHAN and we will see what they can do there.

“Already, two of the players from the league, Ifeanyi Ifeanyi and (Afeez) Aremu, have trained with the team and we hope to see them again.

“I followed the team in the CHAN qualifiers as well as the WAFU Cup and if somebody is very good, we will see.”

Four players from the NPFL made the final cut to Brazil 2014 – Chigozie Agbim (Gombe United), Azubuike Egwuekwe (Warri Wolves), Kunle Odunlami (Sunshine Stars) and Ejike Uzoenyi (Enugu Rangers).
