The duo of Enyimba international of Aba and Abia Warriors may not feature in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) , next season if the decision taken Tuesday February 7, 2017 by the nation’s soccer governing body NFF is anything to go by.

The NFF in a communique issued after its executive board meeting in Abuja came out with a stand that two clubs funded by a State government would not play in the same league in Nigeria.

The Communiqué stated in part: “Effective from the end of the current football season, no two Clubs under the umbrella of one Holding Company/State Government/Individual Owner shall be eligible to participate in the same league”.

They challenged all the four Clubs,  Rangers International of Enugu , Rivers United FC, Wikki  Tourist FC and FC IfeanyiUbah  representing Nigeria in both the CAF Champions League and CAF Confederations Cup to intensify their preparations and strive to do the country proud in their campaigns.

The Committee also threw their weight behind NFF President, Amaju Pinick’s  quest for a seat on the CAF Executive Committee and appealed to the Federal Government to see Pinnick’s quest as a Nigerian project by giving him maximum support.
