Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan are indeed not in the best of times as regards this year’s League runs. The Oluyole Warriors are sitting uncomfortably on 17th position with 37 points, still within the relegation zone.

The Ibadan Warlords will face a baptism of fire of sort as they battle Enyimba of Aba in a gruelling match that will go a long way in defining their status on the log this weekend.

The Coach Fatai Amoo -tutored side showed some promising signs of recovery on Wednesday with an away 1-1 draw against relegation – bound Remo Stars.

With the draw, Amao, after the encounter said his wards would attempt to maintain the same level of focus when they meet the People’s Elephant tomorrow.

According to him, the encounter against the Aba-based outfit would be a tough one, but was quick to add that it is not insurmountable.

‘We are in for a big match and if you recall you will agree with me that the match between Enyimba and 3SC is always hot. But we are prepared because we know that the match will either make-or-mar us, as we are currently fighting relegation”.

In Calabar, Enyimba came from a goal down to beat Lobi Stars 2-1.

Anthony Okpotu gave Lobi the lead in the 18th minute, taking his goal tally for the season to 14.

But two late second half goals from Mfon Udoh and Ikechukwu Ibenegbu in the 86th and 90th minutes gave Enyimba the dramatic win.

Ibenegbu, while speaking on the match against 3SC tomorrow stated that they would not allow the Oluyole Warriors a breathing space.

‘We are determined to shore up our points, and based on this fact, we will ensure that we amass the three points at stake,” he stated.
