THE House Committee on Sports has issued a report backing the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) board led by incumbent Amaju Pinnick after a series of deliberation with the concerned parties.

In a three paged report signed by the Chairman, Goni Bukar Lawan the Committee made five observations among other things including that “The Presidency of Amaju Pinnick of Nigeria Football Federation is in no doubt”.

In its 4-point resolution, the Committee stated, “The Minister of Youth and Sports Development and the Federal Government of Nigeria shall continue to recognise, work and support the NFF under Amaju Pinnick’s Presidency.”

In concluding the resolution, the Committee instructed “The Inspector General of Police and all other security agencies to ensure that whosoever cre­ates problem in NFF or Nige­ria’s football be apprehended  and prosecuted accordingly.”

President of the Nigeria Foot­ball Federation (NFF), Amaju Pinnick said the resolution of the House Committee on Sports backing the subsisting board of the NFF in the leadership tussle with Chris Giwa, is a victory for football in Nigeria.

Speaking with footballlive. ng, Pinnick said it was a case of no victor no vanquish and appealed to every stakeholder to join hands with the NFF to propel the country’s football.
