Xmas on Niger Bridge, Kalu invites Jonathan

41

A day to Christmas, former Abia State Governor Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu, has invited President Goodluck Jonathan to come and witness the pains travellers suffer crossing the Niger Bridge in Onitsha. Kalu, who praised Jonathan for his resolve to construct the Second Niger Bridge, said that only a presidential visit and the setting up of a task force would stem the inhumanity trailing the conception of the project.

In a statement issued by Emeka Obogi, one of his aides, Kalu “When Jonathan told the world in Onitsha that the first bridge was constructed under an Azikiwe[Dr.Nnamdi Azikiwe]and another Azikiwe[President Jonathan] would put up a second one, I believed him. But I just want him to come over after work, between December 24, 2012 and January 15, 2013 to see for himself what his country men are going through despite money allocated in the past and promises by former leaders.

His visit would make things happen next year, even if it means setting up a task force.” The ex-governor reminded the Federal Government that it took two years to construct the Eko Bridge in Lagos after Carter Bridge suffered serious structural problem in 1957. “Major repairs were carried out on Carter Bridge in 1957,but it was obvious another bridge was needed to ease traffic in Lagos. Government moved fast. By December 1,1965 work officially commenced on a new bridge, Eko. By December 17.1967, it was ready. And the contract was awarded to Messrs Julius Berger Aktiengesellschaft. Since 1980, it had been hectic crossing the Niger.

I just hope Mr. President will handle this. Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Chief Emeka Ihedioha, knows about the pains of the failed attempts,” Kalu added. He also expressed optimism that those who would lose their land in the course of construction would be adequately compensated as was the case during the Eko Bridge era.

“It took Nigeria about 10 million pounds to complete Eko Bridge in 1967.Although government got a loan of six million pounds from German Bank Kreditanstalt Fur Wiederaufban, more money was spent to build 58 high-rise homes to accommodate those who lost their houses on the Lagos Island, about 12,000 persons. I am sure we are going to see the same treatment across the Niger,” Kalu emphasized.

  1. Orji Uzo Kalu, remains my man since 1999 he was elected gov. of Abia state til now. If it worths dying for you sir, I’m available. You have consistently remained only Igbo leader that fight for their interest since then. Some of us knew what it cost you in OBJ’s administration. One will also not forget in a hurry the role you played then to save Okadigbo’s seat as president of the senate ‘cos of embarrassment it i ‘ll bring to Igbo man. Orji, you ‘ll live long to see Igbo land of your dream

    • But what did Orji Uzor achieve as governor of Abia? I like his firm position when it comes to national issues: his stand off with OBJ, the third term, the Enugu PHC road issues, the Kano crisis of 2003, etc. He has the right pitch when it comes to Igbo issues.

But when I visited Aba or Umuahia, under him and more recently, under Theo, I can only but conclude he is a hypocrite and very bad governor. He did not match his pitch with on the job performance. Unfortunately, he can never change that record.

      • This is just cheap popularity. yes, people are suffering crossing the niger bridge.

But let Kalu also invite Jonathan to see Aba road where he ruled for 8 yrs and where he and his family lives.

He has all the facts how Eko and third mainland bridges were constructed. But he lost sight on how to give contract to Julius Begger to build Aba roads. Instead he forced another dead person to rule the state after he left.

Orji Kalu will continue to be a political prostitute because he knows the right thing but failled to do it.

Kalu should know that his image has been battered and its difficult to redeem it. He is stupid.

      • CJ, I am sorry that you did not know the intention of OUK. He is looking for more contract, to mess up with. you should also understand that Julius Berger is not in existece when OUK ruled Abia that is why the mother was using labourers to work Aba road.

    • Ohebe dim,I wonder which part of Igbo land you come from,if actually you’re Igbo but certainly not Abia State. What moral justification does Orji Uzor have to warrant him advising somebody else how to run a government? So he is so full of ideas and so verse about history of other people’s achievement yet his eight years as Abia governor was a monumental disgrace. could he boldly point at one single project he executed in Abia state through out his eight years of misrule Now he wants to arrogate to himself the position of adviser on good governance.Pharisees

  2. MORE ADDITIONAL STATE IN SOUTHEAST, SECOND NIGER BRIDGE, THESE TWO THINGS ARE THE MOST IMPORTANT THINGS I ASK FROM PRESIDENT IN 2013 AND HE WILL GAIN IGBOS VOTE COMES 2015 IF HE DID WHAT WE REQUIRED FROM HIM AND WE THE IGBOS WILL GIVE HIM THE OPPORTUNITY COMES 2015 AND WAIT FOR HIM TO FINISH HIS SECOND TERM SO THAT WE THE IGBOS WILL PROCEED FURTHER AND PRODUCE THE NEXT NIGERIA PRESIDENT AFTER JONATHON SECOND TERM AS AN ELECTED PRESIDENT OF NIGERIA.

  3. As a president of Nigeria today Jonathan has not done anything to South east since he assumed office as president , to contract second Niger bridg is a promise on his first term not for second term ,second term will has his promises on what u should do to us to hv our vote comes 2015 .so already u ar failing on ur first term promises Mr president ,pls seat up on south east matter now bcos time is running out on u .

  4. The work on the bridge will commence in late 2014, as you are fully aware that it is part of our campaign strategies. If we completed the bridge now, the Igbo community might not see the need for our continuation in office. People Deceive People…. long life ever slumbering Nigerians

Kalu has just said the reality again and its left for the presidency to comply if they want. Its obvious he won’t come to witness the traffic jam but to remind him about his promises and the sufferings Nigerians of that part are experiencing. More greeze to your elbows Kalu.

  7. This the kind of reaction people in high ranking offices should do like Kalu not to loot treasury business. So many promises without execution,i witness what happens there everyday because i have my business very close to that place.Heavily loaded trucks, traffic holdup, not only Xmas but everyday.I wish they will listen to my friend Orji Kanu.

  8. more grease to your elbow my man Orji Uzor Kalu….this is the type of comments we need our leaders to be doing..we are still waiting for Mr president!!!!

  9. President Jonathan, respond to this clarion call by OUK. A stitch in time saves nine! Do not allow the IGBO votes that were voted for you during election amount to nothing. The Secod Niger Bridge shouldn’t be politicized.

  10. OUK ur love for Ndigbo has brought u persecution but u ve been resilient n undaunted. U ve told oga Joe d home truth. I know work ll start at d bridge late 2014 so dt ey ll tel us to vote for dem in 2015 for dem to complete it. D poor boy frm otuoke who has no shoes is trampling on us. OUK ride on.

  12. concern Nigerian on

meanwhile peter Obi just sat down in AWKA crying like Alaba rago goat while his kinsmen are spending 24hrs just to cross from Asaba to Onitsha. Kalu has just spoken up it is left for the govt to act and save the masses from the unnecessary pains on that bridge.

  13. • NDIGBO AND SECOND FIDDLE POLITICS. By Obasi Ifeanyi
    • The Igbos have been the most ardent advocates of a united Nigeria. Upon independence in 1960, an Igbo, Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe became the first President and Governor General, while another Igbo, Aguiyi Ironsi became the first indigenous military chief. An Igbo son, Nwafor Orizu became the first president of the senate, Jaja Anucha Ndubuisi Wachuku [ugo ngwa] was the first Speaker of the federal house of representatives and the first Nigerian ambassador and permanent representative to the united nations. The first American style university built in Africa was in Igboland-the University of Nigeria at Nsukka. Its founder, Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe was a graduate of Lincoln University in Pennsylvania. Prof. Chike Obi, the first sub-Saharan African to hold a doctorate in mathematics. Chinyere Kalu, an Igbo woman was Nigeria’s first female pilot. Professor Albert Chinụalụmọgụ Achebe is one of the best writers in Africa. The most transparent, freest and fairest general election in the history of Nigeria was organised by an Igboman Prof. Humphrey Nwosu. The most decorated footballer in the history of Nigeria is from Igbo land Mr. Kanu Nwankwo, Another man of Igbo origin is Alvan Ikoku of blessed memory, a first class Nigerian educator who established the Aggrey Memorial College, located in Arochukwu
Sir Louis Odumegwu Ojukwu, was the first and founding President of The Nigerian Stock Exchange as well as President of The African Continental Bank. The richest Nigerian before independence. The first Nigerian to bring transport business to the public domain [Ojukwu transport company]
The Igbo are ubiquitous; they are everywhere. In the remotest villages, they are on the front burner of business and politics in Nigeria and beyond, wherever there is live you will find an Igbo man, the farthest part of the earth, North Pole, down under, all over the world, into anything, commerce, transport, drugs, entertainment, sports, producing the best brain and so on, you’ll find them there..
Igbo names are synonymous with commerce, ruggedness, affluence, wealth. The Igbo that produced Emeka Emeagwali, Barth Nnaji, Emeka Anyaoku, Dora Akunyili, Nnamdi Azikiwe, Alvan Ikoku,Augustine Ilodibe, Sir Loius Ojukwu, Rochas okorocha, ifeanyi Ubah,Orji Uzor Kalu,Kanu Nwankwo, among other distinguished sons, should be respected.
Education is highly emphasized and given priority in Igboland. Converted to Christianity by Catholic, Anglican and Presbyterian missionaries, they took up self improvement with such enthusiasm, that by the 1960’s, the Igbos had the highest percentage of doctors, lawyers, engineers, physicists, and teachers than any other ethnic group in Africa. Because of the abundant educational talent in Igboland many newly independent African nations recruited them to fill vacancies in their civil service.
The Igbos are some of the most intelligent and visionary Nigerians I have known to possess high levels of intellect and the creative ability to conceptualize and design goods of immerse value.
How did a people this intelligent, this savvy, and this contributively and participatory got shut out of the presidency?” In other words, why have we not had a Nigerian president of Igbo origin ?

The Igbo of my growing up years (in Nigeria), had “attributes most other Nigerian ethnic groups could only dream of; and were what most other groups were not. The Igbo made and make Nigeria better, but Nigeria and her myriad nationalities cannot do without the Igbo? Take the Igbo out of the Nigerian equation, and Nigeria will be a wobbling giant gasping for air.

Go and look at all the republics in the world, the power game is a group game. Group members organise and seek power for the group. Even within a political party, it is factions that compete for power, not individuals. The prominent individuals are faction leaders, not just individuals.. You can’t, as one man, be so strong that you alone can defeat a rival soccer team. ln politics you can’t show up as a one man army and expect people to say “great leader, the messiah, come and rule us, you must work as a group with determination, this is because silver and gold are only meant for sportsmen/women, spectators go home empty.
Are the igbos still going to be spectators in 2015 ?
The Igbo must rethink their political mathematics. For instance, the infighting and power struggles must stop — and they should also stop succumbing to the Hausa-Yoruba strategy of divide-and-rule. Many who, ordinarily shouldn’t be in the corridors of power, now sit on the throne misleading the igbo for their selfish interest, supporting outsiders at the detriment of Igbo.
When are we going to stop playing second fiddle in the affairs of this nation? Can Ndigbo continue to throw their support at someone even when he has not solicited for the support by not making his intentions on 2015 known yet at the detriment of their own ambition of having Nigerian president of Igbo extraction come 2015? When shall the Igbos stop being at the mercy of other people in this country? When shall Ndigbo stop approaching politics with the mindset of a beggar; instead of seeing themselves as major stakeholders in the power game of this entity called Nigeria.
The attention of Igbo youth has been drawn to the way Igbo political office holders are being disgraced out of office with no just cause, the recent forced resignation of Minister of Power, Prof. Barth Nnaji can attest to that. The time has come for Igbo youths to stand up against the injustice being meted to Igbo political office holders by those who see Nigerian as animal farm owned by their fathers!
The former national Chairman of PDP, Dr. Okwesilieze Nwodo was made to resign the way Prof. Barth Nnaji did by those who see Igbos as third class citizens; Dr. Okwesilieze Nwodo was made to leave office after working tirelessly day and night to organize the most transparent, freest and fairest presidential primary ever held in the history of Nigeria! He stirred the ship of the party in one of the most turbulent period the party has ever witnessed when the issue zoning was ravaging PDP like wild fire!
It will be an aberration and most unacceptable for anybody to single out Ndigbo for a second fiddle role again, in the nation’s political leadership structure at the expiration of the present tenure. While saying that Ndigbo have served others in the presidency faithfully, Igbo were not created to remain as apprentices and servants to others forever. The first cannot be the last, Let’s make no mistake about it.

  14. My worst fear is that this bridge will collapse one day and waste the lives of precious nigerians, this bridge was not meant to carry stationery vehicles of various tonnage but today it is so.May be shall instuite another commission of inquiry to know why it collapsed while we know the reasons. Thanks to men of frsc who are trying to ease traffic at both ends of the bridge

  15. Come 2014 when nigeria’s independence expires, the north which has profited immensely, and needs nigeria so badly must forget about asorock, for 2015. Hence forth, the north can only produce the vice president, or the party is over.

  16. Obs, you got it straight. And this is where the likes of His excellency, OUK (MON) comes in. OUK remains the best aspiration of the crying youths of Ndigbo. He speaks their mind. It was this forthrightness that pitched him against OBJ who nicknamed him the Action Governor of Nigeria, just in the first year of the then nascent democracy. But when, having become an insider in the murky waters of politics the Nigerian style that does everything to keep Ndigbo marginalized, OBJ fell out against him. Of course OUK had to fight for his political survival. He bravely floated PPA which, against all odds, succeeded in capturing the states of Abia and Imo. That shows the political sagacity of Orji Uzor Kalu (MON). but the problem remains saboter(ism). OBJ used divide and rule to distort development of Abia. He pitched erudite sons of Abia against our beloved governor with all the Federal money and might. When in the first term he delievered the most astounding call for president of Igbo extraction, his own backyard, supposedly brother was the one that coined the first opposition language that it was Idiotic. Don’t be surprised that this loud cry by His Excelency for GEJ to come personally to the Niger bridge and take action, could stir up the nerves of Aso Rock. It is an entrenched clandestine practice that whoever saddles the Nigerian ship, should only make promises to Ndigbo, find good orators and keep them perpetually divided through their own kinsmen and women. Aso Rock does not like being told plain truth about the major concern of Ndigbo. Don’t be surprised of the kinds of comments that could begin to come from our so-called mum and dumb governors of S/E as well as the senate and house members against OUK. Don’t be surprised of sponsored castigative, demeaning false reports some sectional print media would begin to write against his excellency. It was when the former PDP chairman voiced out that the North should complete their term begun by Yar’dua which ill health denied them, that all the anticrime agencies remembered that the former PDP chariman took bribes and not worthy of the office. That has been the lot of Ndigbo. But it is evident that there is new generation of Igbo youths who know what goes on. So, it won’t be that easy to silence OUK – the Onu na Ekwuru Oha (1) of Ndigbo. Unfortunately, our office holders who betray their brothers do not learn. Yet, after singing the praises of their employers whose music they sang with falseto voices, they are disgraced out of office, permanently silenced and rendered politically useless. They only comfort themselves with their personal comfort, not of their group of people, as if without the peoples of their constituencies they would have the offices and appointments they saw as personal achievements. Do you want to tell me that the combined fifteen senators from the S/E and their house of reps counterparts cannot, with the Deputy speakership, bring pressure on GEJ government to construct the second niger bridge too dear to Ndigbo. Did you not see how the Northern caucus in the Senate stood down the reading of the PIB bill, even without David Mark on seat that day? That’s regional politicking. They shelved their political differences and stood as one voice for the North. Yet ours do nothing. If their are senotors or House Members from the S/E only God knows how much spectators they are. Look at how Abike single handedly pursued the FOI bill. She came from the media constituency and knows she would return that area after her stint at the Federal House. Yet our people behave as if they would forever live in Abuja. Do you recall that Shagari’s son was busy building dams and dams in the North as Federal minister in the first term of OBJ while ours were busy fighting against this only voice of Ndigbo. Only high powered pressure as OUK has called forth now that could create an awakening. What successive governments did was to reroute the S/S directly to the West without entering the Eastern land. You get to Akwa Ibom from Cross River, you move to Rivers and join the West through Delta State. So, what business has GEJ with Niger Bridge. It is written somewhere in Aso Rock that whosoever enters that control room must not do any meaningful thing for Ndigbo. That is why they would not want an Igbo to enter Aso Rock. Second Niger Bridge is a major need of Ndigbo. It is the bridge the Senators and Reps SUV’s would cross even though they fly to Owerri or PH airport themselves. The call by OUK has reopened the reality Ndigbo faces in the Nigerian project. Now out of the immunity of office, yet he speaks. Governor Orji Kalu should know that the youths are still looking up to him. Yet even the construction of the second niger bridge should not be the reason for Ndigbo to drop the quest for the topmost political office come 2015.

  17. Ndigbo have representatives in the national assembly, they also have representatives at the states level. What are they all doing to save their people from marginalisation, maltreatment, intimidation and neglet by the Federal Republic of Hausa/Fulani,if they are not really the enemies of their own people.
Must Kalu do everything for them, have they for any day given Kalu the respect he deserves or to hornour him or to give him support of any kind. When Joy Emordi was in The national assembly, she was shamelessly busy jumping from one man to another, when Annie Okonkwo was there,he was busy wasting his ill-gotten money on Abuja prostitudes. But because returning ticket was not given to him to remain in the national assembly,he selfishly made himself an apostle and a spokesperson for the actualisation of a Nigerian president of Igbo-Extraction.Let’s watch and see how far he will go to achieving that.
Orji Uzor Kalu please continue this fight to freedom,Kalu Ndigbo have forgiven you in any way you have not done well.Kalu God will give you victory,we salute you!.
There are useless and unqualified Igbo sons and daughters who are presently representing the Igbos in upper and lower houses of assembly.People like Chris Ngige,Enyinnaya Abaribe,Nkechi Nwogu,Uche Chukwumerije,Ayogu Eze,Ike Ekweremmadu,Hope Uzodimma,Emeka Ihedioha,Andy Uba,etc. When they are denied the opportunity to return to the national assembly by their masters, they will start masquerading themselves as good and acceptable Igbo leaders.

  18. I said once n i will say it again, Kalu ur time has expired period. U do not have mouth to advise or inspire in this country. This is cos when u had de opportunity to have ur name carved in “Gold u chosed Mud”. Do u realy think anybody is listening to u? De one that are listening are doing it for sentiment. Realy u’re a damaged good, i learnt u already got ur political perdity about 10yrs ago. All this effort u’re making to be relivant will surely be in vain. Look at it this way, look at Abia state, if u’re to mark urself on ur govt, what mark would u’ve awarded urself? Maybe 1 or 2 over 100. So pls, stop rambling,we’re not listening to u.

    • Kola u miss it. U don’t know Ndigbo’s aspirations. Kalu represents only fearless voice of Ndigbo at the political front at anytime. He is the only one who tells Nigerians what they do not want to hear about the plight of Ndigbo. OBJ had no local constituency, but foisted on all Nigerians. OBJ was the problem of Ndigbo in Kalu’s tenure. He did everything to stiffle Kalu and squeeze him to amatuer political death, but for Kalu’s sagacity and broad spectrum political wits that stretches beyond Umuahia to Sokoto Caliphate. He is still the only one who can bridge across Lokoja for Ndigbo. Kalu has years ahead of him. One wrote above here he has forgiven him for any past failures. That was what the Yorubas did with OBJ and returned him to power. at least Ndigbo still have one in OUK who can tell Nigerian cabalistic and tribalistic leadership what they do not want to hear about Ndigbo. Should OUK not be fighting for restoration of SLOK air OBJ did away with. Did OBJ not try all he could to silence The Sun? OBJ, not OUK was Abia’s problem. OBJ knows. Ojo Maduekwe knows. Abaribe knows. Ugochukwu knows. They know Kalu’s wit. Ojo Maduekwe knows he is politically finished as far as Igbo race is concerned. Why? He fought for OBJ against legacy of his people pursued by OUK. Check out all those whom OBJ used to fight OUK and see if they amount to anything in their wards? But let OUK get to Enyimba or Ochanja then you know this man still have broad based followership. Many more years OUK.

    • Yoruba Scumbag coca cola amodu or whatever ur name is stop commenting on Ndigbo affairs, you have no right to speak to Ouk and you definitely cannot choose a true igbo leader for us. Go and fix tinubu and sw

  19. Many of the igbo men and women are just there for their pockets only. People like Ojo maduekwe said many years ago that it is act of irresponsibility for the Igbos to demand for president, He is only there for political job ex this ex that We have many of them that will persuade GEJ to start work immedietly judging the way we voted him to power, And the urgency we required the Bridge to save life first and foremost. OUK continue our God is ur strenght.

  20. Thank you, Chief Kalu. Nigeria is capable of building better transportation infrastructures that what we have today. The Niger Bridge project is overdue.

  21. The people that constantly criticise any comment made by this icon of our time OUK, do not know anything. Let them go back to the records of his era, they will see that the revenue this man cllected as allocations due to Abia State was nothing to write home about.
This was because of the huge debt Dee Sam Mbakwe of the blessed memory incured on behalf of the present Abia and Imo States. At the creation of Abia State, the bulk of the debt was passed to the new state.
The government of Orji Uzor Kalu paid off the loan from the deductions made from Abia mothly revenue allocations through out his tenure. This is a verifiable fact.
The present governor should be held accountable for the rot in the state now. Him and his son has looted the treasury, and are currently looting with impuinity. They must surely go to prison after refunding our money to the last kobo.

  22. KOLA A MODU, YOU HAVE NO STAKE IN CRITICISING DR. ORJI UZOR KALU. YOU MUST BE AWARE OF WHAT YOUR BROTHER DID TO HIM AND HIS STATE.HE STOPED HIA AIRCRAFTS FROM OPERATING IN NIGERIA. HE STLE 46 OIL WELLS FROM ABIA STATE AND GAVE IT TO RIVERS STATE. HE ALSO STOPPED SAVANNAH BANK(AN IGBO BANK) FROM OPERATING.BECAUSE KALU WAS OUTSPOKEN WHEN HE SAW YOUR BROTHER DOING WRONG. KOLA YOU MUST CLOSE YOUR BUICAL CAVITYWHEN IT CONCERNS IGBO AFFAIRS. OK?

  23. Bravo Mr Orji for saying the axiom. Mr president has’nt done anytin for us. After the promises he made at holy trinity, here in Onitsha. Gej, we Igbo youths, are watching you cum awaiting ur promises. Long live Ndigbo. The pillar of Nigeria and her existence.

  24. I HAVE SAID IT B4 AND I WILL STILL SAY IT AGAIN THAT TIME HAS COME WHEN WE NDIGBO YOUTHS SHOULD PICK UP HEAVY ARMS AGAINST OUR SO CALLED REPRESENTATIVES AT THE NATIONAL LEVELS. IGBO YOUTHS WAKE UP, LET US ALL RISE UP NOW AND TAKE OUR DESTINY INTO OUR OWN HANDS AFTER ALL VIOLENCE IS THE ONLY LANGUAGE THE NIGERIAN GOVERMENT LISTEN TO AND UNDERSTANDS BETTER. HOW LONG SHALL WE WAIT MORE?? NIGER DELTA YOUTHS ARE ENJOYING AMNESTY TODAY AND SOON BOKO HARAM WILL GET THEIRS

  25. CJ, FRANK & CO WHO DOES NOT LOVE GOOD THINGS BEWARE. WHEN ORJI UZOR WAS THE GOVERNOR, ATLEAST THE POOR HAD FOOD ON THEIR TABLE. NOW THAT WE HAVE A VAMPIRE AS GOVERNOR WE FOUND IT DIFFICULT TO CRY. COULD U BELIEVE THAT SALARIES HAVE NOT BEEN PAID?

  26. The only out spoken leader in Igbo land living today, others are performing eyes right attitude towards our plight. Tell me what it will cause the fed govt to build just a common bridge to ease transportation involving the s. east and s.south geo political zones where the said bridge are beneficial to. There is every clear indications that the bridge can erupt/collapse at any particular day their is heavy tracffick congestions mounted on top of this very bridge with travellers. That day they will quickly commence the useless enquiry to ascertain the causes of such disasters, again on doing so is to enrich themselves stupidly. They still have a little time to overcome the unexpected. The only mouth peace we have in Igbo land today is Dr Orji Uzor Kalu. U have sacrificed so many of your business empire in the present day fourth republic out of your humble quest to balance the injustice meted out to your people Ndi Igbo, God will in His infinite mercy replenish to you in million fold, Amen!

  27. Lets bury the hatchet. No one on is infallible in the context of polititics.man is full of forces controlling his Id,ego and superego. This accounts to why George Orwell in animal farm postulates that”power corrupts but absolute power corrupts absolutely”what matters is whether someone accepts his mistakes.people like Aziki,AhmmedBello,Nwafor Orizu,Awolowo, and the likes made grievous mistakes but were reckoned to them as righteousness cos of their position in that time.it is better to study the past to divine the future.HOW do you think that we will get such people like of the past?TOO, a prophet is with honour except in his country!Lets have regards to his pursuits for a better nigeria

  28. Has Orji Kalu thought of the pains he caused Abia People as their governor when he used their money to buy his fleets of aircraft and ocean liners. If he were in Jonathan’s shoes he would not build the Niger bridge so he should give us some peace.

  29. Nsikak, you better don’t comment if do not have anything to say. I was expecting you to comment on the issue above. Do the SE need second bridge across the Niger or not? Efula Umunna, you also did not address the issue above but since you want to know one singly project OUK did because of your failed memory, be reminded that the only only Motorable road from Umuahia to Aba via Seven Up was constructed by Orji Kalu. This road is the only outlet now as the Aba/Port Harcourt Expressway is a night mare.

  30. Uzoh from lagos on

Ndigbo men and women occupy strategic positions in Jonathan’s Govt,we should mobilize them to work in one direction.Ngoz,Dezziana,Oduah,Ihejirka,Ekweremadu,Ihedioha and Anyim are in this Govt and in position to influence things for the South East people. We must find out if they ever meet to fashion out direction for Ndigbo.

  31. DAVID C.EKEOMA on

IS GEJ AN IGBO MAN OR NOT?YOU BETTER VOTE FOR HIM COME 2015.HE WILL BUILD THE SECOND BRIDGE AS THE 2ND AZIKIWE AS HE SAID.
