Believe it or not, the kaftan is back at the top of every self-respecting fashionista’s must-have list. Decked out with fine-jeweled accessories and cut in the most luxurious silk fabrics, kaftans have been given a new lease of life.
Creatively, designers came to the rescue with an incredible array of styles – although most of us who can’t quite afford the designer versions. Forget those tent-like numbers once spotted by Mamas, modern kaftans are all about over-the-top, combining old-school glamour and contemporary class.
