… As officials land in Europe to approve designs
Top Nigeria officials are in Europe to approve a new set of kits the Eagles will wear at the next year’s AFCON. President of Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Aminu Maigari, and the Chairman of the technical Committee, Chris Green, will meet with Eagles’ kit sponsors Adidas on a totally new set of kits for the national team.
“The federation would love to use a totally new design of jersey for AFCON and they have gone to discuss it,” a top official said. “Already, the kit sponsors have designs on ground and all they have to do is to see the one that’s suitable and best to portray Nigeria very well.” The top officials are expected back in the country tomorrow.
Meanwhile, Eagles’ Coach Stephen Keshi, said that he was shopping for a couple of exceptional players from the Venezuela friendly to add to his squad for the Nations Cup in South Africa.
“If I want to bring a player, who hasn’t played under me before, that player has to be an outstanding player, such as (Obafemi) Martins,” Keshi said. “I have got to a stage where I need three, four such players who could bring something tangible to the team and then I will focus on the other boys and with the numbers of days we have now, something good would happen.”

Good for them!
