Diamonds are forever, goes the popular saying. That is what best describes Folake Majin’s Diamond collection. The collection is an array of wearable haute couture pieces that simply exude class and creativity. The collection transgressed boundaries without being incomprehensible; there was a cut and style for everyone.
A family of designers, her daughters who also have their independent labels showcased talents which they evidently inherited from their mother. For Miss Majin, Midnight Rainbow collection was understandably a continuum of colours inspired by fantasy and reality. The Earth Collection, GM4FM’s by Gogo Majin has a mix of girly, structured pieces comprising fabrics like duchess satin, African print, silk chiffon, leather and old vintage Aso-Oke.
The entire collection simply raised the bar in Nigerian fashion and will certainly be in the minds of fashion watchers for a while. The fashion, which was presented by Schon Afrique and powered by MTN, had the Lagos crème-de-la-crème in attendance Guests included First Lady of Lagos State, Her Excellency Abimbola Fashola, Senator Daisy Danjuma, Chief Mrs. Folorunsho Alakija and a host of others
