Officials of the club disclosed that 20 players and 10 officials to be led by a serving commissioner in Bauchi state would be part of the party to Spain for the tournament otherwise known as the Costa Brava.
The Nigerian representatives of the organizers of the tournament, Seharana Sports, confirmed that Yuguda United has fully entered for the Friendship Cup that is attracting youth teams from different parts of the globe.
Seharana’s spokesman, Ekadi Godson told Daily Sunsports that Yuguda United would be jetting out on the 18th of October for the tournament which is billed to run from October 19 to 24 in the Catalan city of Costa Brava, Spain.
Godson said he is confident it would be another glorious outing for a team that is featuring in a tournament being packaged by Seharana Sports.
“Just last month we took Amuneke’s Academy to Portugal for the Iber Cup and they returned home with the trophy. I am sure Yuguda United will do Nigeria proud in Spain next month,” Godson stated, even as he commended the Bauchi state governor Alhaji Isa Yuguda for investing in the U-19 team.
“Governor Isa Yuguda has demonstrated that he is a lover of youths and sports by releasing funds that will see players from his state featuring in the Friendship Cup in Spain. The boys will get the needed exposure that would see them rise to international stardom in the near future,” Godson said.
