Return of Biafra

By Ori Martins

The fall of Biafra and the eventual surrender of the People’s Republic by Philip Effiong, Biafra’s deputy head of state, to the federal troops led by Lt. Col. Olusegun Obasanjo, after the Commander of the ill fated republic had gone to Cote d’Ivoire to ‘seek for peace’ in January 1970, is still being regarded as a gross miscalculation and unacceptable even by people who either were not yet born at the time or were toddlers when the 30-month-old tragic war took place.

Forty three years on and after most of the major actors have died – Ojukwu himself gave up the ghost more than one year ago – a new pro- Biafra group, Biafra Zionist Movement (BZM), has given indications that a new Biafra would be inaugurated on February 20, 2013.

The president of the new Biafran group, B.I. Onwuka told Daily Sun his association had noted the mistakes that truncated the first attempt for the emergence of Biafra even as he insisted that BZM was determined to succeed in its latest bid for the creation of a sovereign entity to be called Biafra!

In the beginning On May 30, 1967 the Eastern Consultative Assembly led by Dr Alvan Ikoku mandated His Excellency General Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu to declare the then Eastern Nigeria, the Republic of Biafra. Ojukwu took up the challenge and declared Biafra a republic as directed by the Eastern Assembly. On July 6, 1967, Nigeria declared war on Biafra and some of its senior military officers like Usman Katsina boasted that Biafra would be crushed in a matter of days. As it turned out to be, 24 hours later became three long years!

At the end of the tragic episode in 1970, over two million Biafrans had paid the supreme sacrifice in defence of their well cherished country and freedom. This is not a history of Biafra as it were but an attempt to really provide insights into what happened in Nigeria between 1967 and 1970. The new Biafra and BZM On November 5, 2012, at Coal Camp Enugu, the Biafra Zionist Movement (BZM) decided to, once again, renew the May 30 1967 mandate and re-declare the independence and sovereignty of the Republic of Biafra. Our movement revisited the gross injustice, crime, pogrom and deprivation that prompted our late leader Odumegwu Ojukwu to declare the Eastern Region an independent state and we are of the view that the situation today in the East is still what it was in 1967.

In 1967 Easterners suffered pogrom, today we are victims of organized killings and mass murder. In 1967 we suffered starvation, today we are being deprived of our rights. In 1967 the East was target of discrimination, today we are marked out for marginalization. I make bold to state that the South East has the least number of states; least number of council areas; least number of National Assembly members even as we do not have any Federal Government’s presence as all the federal roads in the region have completely broken down.

The South has never produced Minister of Works and we can go on and on. Surprisingly, this is a country our fore fathers contributed more than 65 per cent to establish.

The South East has sacrificed more than any other geo political zone for the unity of Nigeria yet, no recognition or respect is accorded to us. It is a national fact that without the Great Zik there would not have been anything today called Nigeria. We have it on Chief Obafemi Awolowo remarked that Nigeria was a mere geographical expression. It was only Zik that said, Nigeria belonged to all of us, let us make it great.

Again, General Ironsi died fighting to uphold national unity yet he was demonized and recklessly assassinated. Which shall we highlight and which one shall we leave behind? Nigeria achieves a consensus only when it gathers to discuss anti-Igbo agenda. We have therefore looked at Nigeria and are well convinced that it cannot fend for the interest of the South East, hence, our people called on us to look for survival elsewhere.

This was the enormous responsibility saddled on us and I can tell you that the BZM as a body can now boast to have reclaimed the independence of Biafra on two grounds namely; there was a heavy presence of the international community as the flags of USA, France and Israel were flying colourfully all over the landscape of Enugu on November 5, 2012. Indeed, the world woke up to behold the expected re-birth of the Federal Republic of Biafra.

We embarked on this project because it has become abundantly clear that the security of life and property of our people can no longer be guaranteed in the geographical entity called Nigeria. We are also convinced that the people’s rights to freely worship God according to their Christian faith is no longer guaranteed in Nigeria. In view of these factors I have highlighted, the people of Biafra resolved to opt out of Nigeria in order to seek co-operation under the United Nations Convention on freedom of worship and association.

Officially and formally, the inauguration of the government of Biafra is slated for February 20, 2013. Countries that broke away The history of the world is replete with an avalanche of countries that started as one sovereign state but are today broken into two or more independent countries. Here in Africa, Eritrea used to be a part of Ethiopia.

The former sought to stay alone as a sovereign nation out of the latter. There was a civil war just like the Nigeria, Biafra case and eventually it succeeded. Today, there is Ethiopia, there is Eritrea. About two years ago, we all witnessed how the Southern Province of Sudan pulled out of the country and it is an independent state on its own.

In Asia, East Timor is no longer a part of Malaysia. Even in more organized Europe, the former almighty USSR has been dismantled and so many countries emerged out it. It is the same case in the former Yugoslavia and Czechoslovakia that have produced about five countries between them.

It is also on record that all the countries mentioned above have similarities with the Nigerian situation even as it stands today and that is ethnic strife and incompatibility. As Ojukwu put it in Ghana, ‘It will be better for us to shift backward and live than to stay together and suffocate’.

If we shift backward, quote me, militancy will stop, Boko Haram will be a thing of the post and ethno- political tension will cease. But, if what is happening now is anything to forecast tomorrow, then we can say even without any power of clairvoyance that, the best for us, especially as Ndigbo, is not to stay together. If other countries that are suffering the same fate with Nigeria in terms of political tension can dissolve their union for good, why can’t Nigeria do the same? Inside Biafra The land and people of Biafra are blessed with natural and human resources. Even during the tragic civil war, our people, despite suffering from genocide, advanced technologically, scientifically and economically without external assistance.

Biafran engineers fabricated war weapons like the Ojukwu bucket, ogbunigbe; built airport at Uli and piloted its own aircrafts; constructed refineries and maintained them without shortage of petroleum products all through the war period; set up Radio Biafra that was received worldwide and so on and so forth.

After the war, Nigeria never cared to absorb the men and women that led these technological and scientific innovations into the system and this tells you the avid hatred the country has for the Igbo nation. It was General Yakubu Gowon himself who said the war ended in a draw as he declared the ‘No victor, No vanquished’ slogan but went ahead to adopt a cruel economic policy of giving any Igbo who had money in the vault, no matter how much, just 20 pounds. It therefore means that the Igbo people started life with only 20 pounds. Gowon also constituted a post war reconciliatory move by instituting the Three Rs – Reconciliation, Rehabilitation and Reconstruction.

We make bold to say that Gowon and Olusegun Obasanjo who was then National Commissioner of Works cannot point to anything or person that was either rehabilitated or reconstructed. Igbo nation still suffers from the civil war devastation and there is hopelessness, depression, disgust and despair all over the land. Our promise is that the new Biafran government will bring hope and guarantee security and a world of opportunity and prosperity.

We shall empower free market based on positive capitalism. We shall support individual enterprise and work hard to attract foreign investors to create jobs for the youths and working adult population. The days when our graduates will only hope to be keke napep drivers and okada riders are over.

This government will not depend 100 per cent on oil it has been the case with Nigeria since 1970. The Biafran Government will restore the following industries – cash crop, palm oil, cashew and others that the Nigerian Government abandoned for oil. Also, the Abakaliki rice base will be developed to feed Africa; the Avutu poultry will be revived to produce chickens for West Africa; the breweries in Umuahia will be upgraded to compete favourably with multi- national ones like Guinness while the coal in Enugu will be modernized.

Indeed, massive industrialization is our key the same way security of lives and property of all who live in Biafra will be adequately guaranteed. Of course, our goal will be to make Biafra the pride of our people and friends and the envy of our foes. To this end, education will not be taken for granted, the health sector will get government’s attention just as rural and urban development will be given adequate consideration.

We shall also protect the rights of all irrespective of creed, gender or origin. Constitution and constitutionalism will be promoted and equality before the Law will be our guiding principle. We encourage freedom of speech, freedom of association, freedom of worship and press freedom shall flourish. This is Biafra’s marshal plan! We shall not fail because we looked at the issues that made the first attempt at Biafra not to go through and took care of them. We as a people are determined to succeed more than ever before.

I support the cause. Nigeria as presently constituted is a fraud and was made for administrative convenience of the Colonial masters. Those celebrating Nigeria’s 100 yrs of existance are the ones who benefiting or have benefited from resources of Nigeria. My forefathers were never part of any agreement to form Nigeria. Nigeria is made up of people that have nothing in common.
    Long live Republic of Biafra!

My Brothers we love BIAFRA,we wish we have it like yesterday,BIAFRA is like blood, spirit and emotion for our dear people,we don’t mind to die today or tomorrow for the Land God promised our Fathers.I am so excited in the prospects of an independent nation BIAFRA ,a nation ordained by God but we have work to do,we need to pass through Jericho-nigeria.
We must begin to gradually frustrate this country and those that support it.
    1. We will refuse to sing their national anthem in its place sing BIAFRAN NATIONAL ANTHEM -ALL HAIL BIAFRA,pls see it at
2.We will refuse to be addressed by those involved in killing our fore-fathers during the genocide of 1967-70,walk out on Gowon,Obasanjo,Danjuma,Buhari,IBB,Abdulsalam,
3.We must participate in anything anti-nigeria and see ourselves first as BIAFRAN and not nigerian,it is not by force to live together in One Country-USSR broke down into Five Nations,CHECK Republic into 3 nations,Eritrea out of Ethiopia,South Sudan out of Sudan,Pakistan out of India, etc.
4.This is a tortious journey but we must remain strong, resolute and ready for the prize that may be required. We must prepare to camp on them as they camp on us,the child that say his mum will not sleep will not close his own eyes, they are almost tired of us and with further push they will give up,any part of old BIAFRA that wants to stay with them ,can go ahead and stay with them.

  19. kola amodu February 5, 2013 at 3:24 pm

Let me talk to u first J.j, it is lie u can’t have it both ways, de moment u get ur biafra I can promise u that we Yorubas will never allow any single nigerian jews t remain on our land n in our midst. Case study, sudan n south sudan. Twou want southern Ondo state to be part of ur biafra, u know it n I know it will never happen. That will a bridge too far, u even think part of Kogi will equally join u in ur crime invested region. It will not come to pass. One thing am sure of is this if n when u do get this biafra of urs, there is going to be seriuos problem in that region. Listen to ur Ben, is this guy really intelligent? How can a small country that doesn’t produce or manufactured any finished products can except farm products n a little bit of crude oil can think de country will be able to practice free trade. By free trade , it means all de foreign investor will be able to take away all their profits gained to their home country, n that I say will be de begining of de end for nigerian jews country, cos ur country will be used as a dumping ground n u will never be able to develop that dreamed jews’land of urs. Ben can u pls move over, allow men n women of substance to tell us better ideals of how biafra will be governed. If ur ideals is follow, there will be total collapse of de country so pls shut up. De earlier u jews realise it that Yorubas will never stand in ur ways if n when u do decide to leave Nigeria de better for u. If u leave Nigeria it means nothing to Yorubas n if do stay neither does it matter to us. One thing I will advise on is to pls plan well before u decide on ur sucide mission cos once u leave , no single jews will be allowed to remain in side Nigeria. At least if u do decide to come back into our federation, we have to decide on ur immigration status, that is, we will rationalise visa for u jews. Another important reason why u nigerian jews will have to think properly about this biafra is that what will happen to ur properties inside Nigeria. I can tell u that all ur properties will become two Dollars bill. It means worthless cos no Nigerians will buy them of u. How would u feed urself? Am sure Hausa/north will like to take their pound of flesh from u jews. How will u transport ur oil ? Cos south south will never join u in another sucide mission of urs. Little words they say is enough for wise. Nigerian jews pls think think before start sucide mission. Well I’ve said my own o

listen kola amodu, when the togolise protest to chase the igbos out of togo, there president said to them if they can produce the money to pay there ministers let the igbos go becouse the igbos are producing 80 percent of the economy in the country, early in the morning they started shouting in the street that the igbos shuld please stay, if we have BIAFRA today we BIAFRAN we be controlling nigerians economy indirectly take it or live it.

    • Emmyoz February 5, 2013 at 10:09 pm

Well Mr kola, I did n’t have time to read your krab but remember that Igbos have bought and payed for those lands you are calling yoruba land, just for a natice to you. it is no more Yoruba land but YORUBA /IGBO LAND!!!!!

      • Tonerro February 5, 2013 at 11:39 pm

Old boy, even a C of O lasts for 99 years and shorter in Rivers State. No one sells land. They give you a certificate of occupancy. You mean you want Biafra but still want to occupy Lagos? E be like say una confuse plenty.

    • dolue February 6, 2013 at 7:34 am

kola, pls don’t bother yourself about us,we came to Lagos with nothing, today,we have bought virtually Lagos, built houses , shops, everything.if we go today, Yorubas will beg on the streets.

  21. Omooba Adeyemi February 5, 2013 at 3:41 pm

I think Onwuka is day dreaming, if not he is either a joker or comedian. First how old is Onwuka, the self aclaimed leader of Biafra Zionist Movement? I doubt if he witness the last civil war, because if he did, he will not be talking of secession now. Mind you, your Biafra land is within the five South Eastern States, dont never think that South-South will follow you this time around. I hope he too will not run away and leave people to suffer if things are going the way he thought.

    • dan February 5, 2013 at 3:53 pm

omooba Adeyemi the IGBOS are great people, we dont ask any zone to joing us we can make up BIAFRA with IGBO states ok what we need is freedom fero let my people go.

  26. lazman February 5, 2013 at 4:53 pm

If we truly desire Biafra, we need a total spiritual makeover. Those who are not living according to the laws of God must repent first and set their house in order,to join this new country. We know that if God be4 us,who can be against us. The problem is some of us have sold themselves to satan and hence the trouble in igboland today.Let us go to God in repentance and submit totally and He will lead us to Caanan(2chronicles7:14). To all the kidnappers,murderers,robbers,thieves,419ners,etc. i will not go with you to the new Caananland.

  27. dos santos February 5, 2013 at 4:57 pm

some non biafrans are crying already telling us to reconsider our God given right to self determination, we have thought it through right from the days of our late president and commander in chief in the person of ezeigbo1 chief chukwuemeka oduemegwu ojukwu ezediorama. We as biafrans are in a wrong country, nigeria and its system is really affecting our tradition and cultural value, our way of life. what is known to be aru in igbo culture and indeed in biafra land is no longer considered to be so. The influence of nigeria and its corrupt culture is affecting our youths. what we used to hold dear which is hard work and love for one another is fast disapearing because of contamination from nigeria where the norm is pull him
I cant wait to see biafran republic. long live biafra. long live BZM.

  28. Ezinwanne February 5, 2013 at 5:44 pm

Its funny how Yorubas are the first to become agitated at the mere mention of the word Biafra.
    I always wonder why
For an ethnic group that is so much vaunted to be educated, the illiteracy shown by these Yorubas in the media is amazing.
They do not understand the dynamics of statehood. (Obviously too scared to pull away fropm Nigeria).
They do not know the Igboman.
What they know of the Igbo is what stereotype picture the Nigerian establishment and the awkward Igbo situation in Nigeria has made of the Igbo.
Just read what that imbecile Kola Amodu wrote.
Read the buffoon like scorn by the retard Awe.
The Igbo may appear vulnerable today, but when the chips are down…when this false entity Nigeria disintegrates, events will show that the people with the best experience and with the greatest propensity for withstanding hardship are the people who will survive and prosper.
I guarantee you, it will be Igbos and not the fat, dirty and dumpy, cowardly Yoruba

  29. Ben February 5, 2013 at 5:47 pm

You bunch of retards…your so called Biafra will be nothing but a cesspit of crime, filth and backwardness. The igbos have not demonstrated any genius in administering even a local govt talk less of a country. Moreso, you are the most disunited. The omambala sees himself as better than wawa, the wawa looks down at the abakaliki man. The owerri man looks down on the illiterate unrefined money miss road anambra man etc etc. The whole of Nigeria will rejoice the day you lot leaves the union. But remember NOT AN INCH OF NON IGBO LAND WILL BE RELINQUISHED TO YOU..anuofia!

  41. Aristotle February 5, 2013 at 9:46 pm

No doubt Biafra is a realisable project and its actualization will be a noble achievement. But I am looking at the bigger picture.

A stick of broom can not sweep but a bunch can and with relatively higher ease.In this 21st century when the world polity is campeigning for and advancing in the direction of regional integration, would the practice of individualism position us to compete favourably in global issues as Biafrans and as Africans?

There is no gainsaying that the injustices of the past against the Igbo nee former eastern region has continued till today. However I believe that our continued preasure on the Nigerian govt for equity, justice, justice and fairness will yield the desired result. Let us galvanise all our efforts towards that direction.

I am looking beyond one strong, united economically sound, indivisible Nigeria where all r happy.I am looking at a gingantic, respected and intimidating United States of Africa where all are equal and the rule of law is upheld. This is realisable and There is no better time to start than now.

Barr.B.Onwuka,every body created by God almihty cherish freed -om to excercise his/her right of Associ ation,To worship Relig ion of choice without moslestation,Guarant ee of Security of life and properties as enshrined in the Unite -d Nations Charter on equality of man to choose how best to live his/her life with- out predejuice to peace and stablity of others in whatever way. Therefore Barr. Onwuka, as an experi enced Lawyer who Ve practised in some advanced Democracie -s of the World, I have no doubt in my mind about his ablity to conform with all the international laws that guarantees the actualization of the Soverign State of Biafra through peace-ful and non violent means.Since many States he mentioned that went through the pains and progrom that people of Biafra were subjected to,and still under presently, and which Trigered the Biafra/Nigerian War of estermination and progrom by Niga against the people of Biafra. I advise the Leaders of the Biafra Zionist Movement to consult and team up with the Leader of the MASSOB,Chief Barr.Ral ph Uwazurike and any other patriotic groups fighting the cause of Biafrans to harnes their Strategy, speak with one voice to avoid the Internally perpatuated Sabotage that mainly contribute d to the unfortunate loss of the war,by the peoples Army of Liber -ation that were alrea dy at the verge of win -ning the war, before the unexpected happe ned and scuttled Biafran peoples’march to victory. It is painful that events that cause d Biafrans quest to opt out of Nigeria, hav e not abeted, rather it has assumed higher dimension, there fore,I surport every peaceful aproach that shall guarantee the Actualization of the Soverign State of Republic of Biafra as has been achieve by many oppressed peoples’in the former Soviet Union,by the Southern Sudan people,Congo,Eliteria and many parts of the world as mentioned by Barr. Onwuka, the Leader of Biafran Zionist Movement.I want to remind Biafrans that price of Liberty is Oneness and internal Vigilance.

Ben Onwuka should try as much as possible to work with other pro-Biafra movements. Biafra Independence is not a one man show but a collective struggle. What is important to the Biafrans now is not forming premature government but having Biafra completely actualized. I advise Ben Onwuka to grant interview to Radio Biafra London on how he want to form this government and what follows after that. To know more about Biafra, visit Radio Biafra London,

Well, I can’t conclude that these few comments from a few Yorubas represent the real Yoruba frame of thought. Because the real Yorubas have not spoken yet, I think. If they will all reason like most I have read so far, it certainly will be disappointing. The Yakubu Gowan era aside, the new Yoruba is a lot different and think seriously differently and act so differently also. Knowing what they know today about the statement or expression called Nigeria, they will be first to want to break from this unworkable union. Biafra
has come and we will make it happen if it means our blood.
I fought for Biafra in my youth and will volunteer to do it again.

  52. Benbela February 6, 2013 at 6:09 am

To the fire spitting Igbos, I say “jie brake o”.
Before any of you talk of war again, first of all go to Orji River Settlement and see the remaining Biafran war veterans as they are languishing in squalor. Ojukwu, Kalu, Ngige, Obi, Okorocha, Madiebo, Soludo and Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala did nothing for them. You all abandon them and here you are talking trash again. Do you people ever learn from your mistakes?
Declaring Biafra again will surely lead to another war. So, to make things easier, Igbos everywhere should just quietly return home to Biafra and we shall see what happens in Biafra within 6 months.

  53. Ema February 6, 2013 at 6:40 am

I’m nt against the creation of Biafra! But we must nt forget d predictions of Nigeria by America concerning 2015. The (may) be using som pple (Biafrans) to actualize dia prediction. 2ndly, the name Nigeria was got or originated cos of d numerous rivers in d region xpecially the riverian areas like Delta, Rivers, Edo, Akwa-ibom, Cross River and so many other states so, you guys shld nt xpect d areas that gave birth to d name “Nigeria” to be a part of Biafra. Dnt even dare come close to Asaba Head bridge cos… u pple hv to think well oooh! Dat’s my personal opinion

  54. Chukwuka Emezie February 6, 2013 at 7:32 am

Why are we the Ibos always going to another man’s ancestral land in search of money and land causing havoc on our way and everywhere we go.  Why can’t we stay in Imo/Anambra /Enugu/Ebonyi/Abia States with our able and rich Governors like Obi, Chime and Rochas and develop our own ancestral land. We gang, struggled and asked for these States to be created for us. We are even asking for three more states now.  We collect the State and later relocate to other peoples states. Why? Why? Why are we always running to other states. How many of these people have C of O in our states? How many Yoruba man can access our Land most especially, Abia & Imo State? We have divided the Land long ago without creating even C of O: hence, the land are not marketable. Our people are not marketable even for Aso Rock because we always market fake people and products, bastardized Korean, Indian or China products. We go to village now with armed escorts. How long shall these be. Hotels are now on every street in Enugu because we cannot go into our father’s compound anymore.  We are scared. We cannot take our Land documents to a good bank for Loan. Any bank that does: do so at its own risk. We cannot generate cash from our land as done in other states of the Federation with our dubious Power of Attorney papers. All land are convertibles all over the world except in Ibo land. Some states in the Federation issue C of O within one month whereas, ours is two or five C of O in six years, as our Governor pleases. As Ndigbo we need to do some rethinking to align to a composite Nigeria. Can we bring our Land papers in Ibo Land as collateral to borrow money in Lagos? An Ibo man is serving in Lagos as Commissioner and same is not good in any Ibo Land. An Ibo man fixed Oshodi to make it motorable today for Lagosians.  We need God to help us Ndigbo. Can a Yoruba man be given any appointment as “anything” in Ibo Land? We need to do a soul searching now before it gets out of hand Ndigbo. Why are we so greedy and self centered?   We could not have been created like this by God the creator of heaven and earth.  It must have been borne out of our corrupted custom and tradition. Worst still,  we don’t tell ourselves the home truth. We use the Nigerian “World War” sorry I mean “Biafra War” to confuse ourselves 50 years after; whereas those that fought the real World War have long closed gaps, as if we were not the one that fired the first shot. IBO-I before others). We killed the Hausa and the Yoruba and no Ibo man died in the very first coup meaning what. We have the blood of those killed on our head. We need high level spiritual cleansing..because the blood will always speak out in different manner and form. It speaks over and over and endlessly unless it is atoned.
I pray we have a man like Prof Wole Soyinka in Ibo Land that can check us within. A one-man-warrior. An international man yet so homely with grace and truth.  That man attacked even OBJ not minding they are from the same State at the Airport one day in my presence. This is just the truth…….Ndigbo this is a wake-up call and not an indictment, please…..

Biafra will one day stand that i believe, we don’t need to insult other tribes to achieve this.God bless the good people of Biafra(SE Or SS) and the Odua’s

  58. Big Joe February 6, 2013 at 10:42 am

Believe me Yoruba nation cannot survive without South south oil, that is why they are so afraid when an IBO mention Biafra. They know that once IBOS pull out of Nigeria, the next minute, South south will either wish to join IBOS, or be a seperate country of their own. All the development in yorubaland is from the proceeds of our South south resources.
We people of the South south are more compatible with our IBO brothers than Yorubas who dont know wether they are bats or birds.

  59. Chris Nnadede February 6, 2013 at 10:45 am

    @ Chukwuka Emezie

I just finisned reading what you deposited to make your case against Biafra. I also confirmed that you are onye Igbo, not just by your name but also by the resonnance of your voice. It is not just expected that pieces like yours will fail to show during this Ndigbo quest, I am expecting even worse depositions from a lot more Ndigbos also. Why? Because you answered the question.

When you go to war so many things happen. The reward of a war comes at later time after you won. But when you lose, like Ndigbo lost to Nigeria, the reward of war is instant. The punitive effects started from the very day Ndigbo lost to Nigeria.
Ndigbo not only lost our men, women and children, we also lost our prestige, wealth, and ability to actualize our future as fast as it can be possible. So with the slow pace of rising again as humans and claiming our rights which were no longer protected like the slaves in the continent of America comes also the struggle to become or gain identity.
We must survive anyway. So we settled for the crumbs and substandards.
These crumbs and substandards were not only in property, education, social applications but included is also a reduction of our prestige, loss of Ndigbo styles, morays, norms, mythologies, culture. Our ways became adultrated, and we lived on the dictates of our conqueror.
It is no doubt that a truly son of Ndigbo as you Mr. Chukwuka Emezie will turn out this way. It is expected. Because most of us including me have become a mental case after exposure to so many years of “MENTICIDE’ (killing of the mind).
Nigeria had ample time to condition the children of Ndigbo to become their foot soldier and turn against Ndigbo.
Yes!! It is what has just happened. YOU. You are a glaring example of the success of the Nigerian psycho killer. You were the offshot of the rewards of TWENTY POUNDS which each and every Biafran or Onyeigbo was worth after the civil war.

There was nothing left in a devastated land. Not even food crops, no roads, no machineries, no nothing. And what do you expect, Mr. Chukwuka Emezie? For Ndigbo to sit and perish in under super controlled, contrived to perish empty terrain?
Or was it better to emigrate to do odd jobs ( meaning anything whatsoever) to survive. Which is what we did.

We lied,we stole, and dissembled to survive. We stooped so low to survive. We did what prisoners of war would do — lie to survive.
Now the chicken of the Nigerian design to annihilate Ndigbo has come home to roost.
You Mr. Chukwuka Emezie are the chicken. Look what you are bringing home.
If only you would realize that you are the true allegory of the Platonic Cave, you would have no other option than commit suicide. But you are not capable. You are frozen, and a legion of Yorubas and Hausas and others will cite your theses to make case for our dysfunction.

Because you are the TRUE product of the humiliated and conditioned Ndigbo set to fight your ancestoral values

. A great success story of Yakubu Gowon, Obasanjo and Obafemi Awolowo. You are!

You wondered why no Hausas nor Yorubas, nor other non Igbos placed any values on Igbo lands, real estate etc.
It was their plan to deny you (onye Igbo) their capital so you’ll live scratching the soil.

But lo and behold, Ndigbo are like the field grass. Burn them, dig them out, destroy them, and they find a way to survive after the rains
No other race or races would survive the master plan of Nigeria. Ndigbo did survive, but at a rough price. We found a way to kiss the Nigerian Asse so a young man called Chukwudi, though fucked-up in his head, can have his day to question Ndigbo like the EVIL Nigeria would.

Chukwudi, like I said in the beginning, there are going to be hundreds if not thousands raised in eloquence and journalistic savvy that will throw this dirt on the face of Ndigbo. You have no blames. But may the Lord restore you.

I live in USA. I fought in the Nigeria/Biafra war. I know alot you do not know about the War. Our history is a sound indication of how we are headed.

  60. KEN February 6, 2013 at 12:12 pm

    @ Chukwuka Emezie
You are a true breed of those few Igbos who allowed Nigeria’s propaganda to transform them into self haters – robots. Look, the worst disease a man can have in life is self-hating. You seem to have the disease, if truly you are Igbo.
I may not have much more to tell you because Chris Nnadede has poured out what is in my mind.

Look, Igbos started being killed in the north of Nigeria shortly after the amalgamation of north and south of old British territories in West Africa which Luggard named Nigeria.

The coup of 1966 you cited was just one of those killings that had been taking place in Nigeria. And it was a Nigerian army coup, not an Igbo coup as Nigeria’s propaganda ‘roboted’ you to believe. Unfortunately, less Igbos were killed in the coup. And in today’s Igbo killings in the north, are the killers still avenging the killings of Sarduana and others in 1966?

Nigeria has restructured politically against Ndigbo and is waiting for the generation of Igbos who knew what Nigeria was before the political restructuring to pass away, so that Igbos like you suffering from self-defeat shall no longer ask questions but accept to remain subservient to the rest of Nigeria, including even to the tiny minorities in Nigeria.
There is communal ownership of land in many parts of Igboland. You don’t just issue Cof O to any one that breezes into Land Office with a paper to ask for it, else you may provoke communal violence. Japan made up its land scarcity by building sky scrappers to contain its people. Biafra may have to resort to that system to contain its people. Biafraland is large enough to contain all of its people.

Biafra would have been a reality by now if not for our selfish Igbos (Politicians, governors, Abuja contractors in the name of Ohaneze etc)who are ready to sell their conscience for a price. At least 90% of Ndigbo want Biafra actualized after going through unimaginable hard time/marginalization in this so called country Nigeria. Now virtually all other tribes who fought to defeat Biafra are now at the receiving end confronted by what be failed Ndigbo more than 40yrs ago.On daily bases plus the the highly acknowledged prediction of the end of Nigeria in 2015 it is obvious Nigeria may not even last till 2015,however those few benefiting from the chaos/unaccountable/corrupt nature of Nigeria are very much unease they can now have the time to plan where they can run/hide with their wealth.Injustice cannot last for ever, there is always the beginning and end to everything for sure for all it will be to your tents O Israel whether you like it or not.I stand on Biafra.

That is de different btw Yorubas n de jews of this nation. We never want our people to be slave to any tribes inside this nation, that is de reason our sage Pa Awo made education our main objective, not money. Education will gives u everything in this life. Can u now see de different btw Yorubas n u jews. Tha is de reason Yoruba nation will alkways be ahead in Nigeria. We don’t need other tribes resources to survive in Yoruba land , we already have our passport to de world, education. Can u now understand , asshole.
