Kaduna State Governor, Mukhtar Ramalan Yero has appointed Alhaji Ishaq Hamza Dan’Mahawayi as the Secretary to the State Government (SSG). Alhaji Dan’Mahawayi, who hails from Zone 2 of the state once served as the chairman of Giwa Local Government during Namadi Sambo’s administration.
This has further confirmed Daily Sun’s exclusive report in the wake of Governor Yakowa’s death that the first victim of sack by Governor Yero would be the outgoing SSG, Abdullahi Samaila Yakawada, who equally hails from Giwa Local Government Area of the state. The new SSG contested for House of Representatives in 2011 general election, but lost to Shamsedeen Abdullahi of Congress for Progressive Change (CPC).
Also, former correspondent of Radio France, Hausa service, Abdullahi Ahmed Maiyaki was appointed Director General, Media and Publicity. He took over from Reuben Buhari, who was Senior Special Assistant on Media to late governor Patrick Ibrahim Yakowa. Another former chairman, Zaria Local Government area, Zone One, Alhaji Yahaya Aminu Abdullahi was appointed the Chief of Staff. Alhaji Abdullahi replaced Yohanna Alamagani, who was appointed by the late Yakowa.
Other appointments included Madami Garba Madami, who was appointed the Special Adviser, Political, while Mr. Nathaniel K. Hayab, who will be due for retirement in few months from now retained his position as Head of Service. In a press release signed by the Commissioner of Information and Home Affairs, Saidu Adamu said the appointment was with immediate effect.
