The Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babatunde Fashola has raised the alarm over cloning of his wife’s personality, Dame Emmanuella Abimbola Fashola on Facebook and other social network, saying his wife does not operate any Facebook account.
In a press release signed by the Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Media, Mr. Hakeem Bello, the governor said the First Lady of Lagos State does not operate a Facebook, Twitter or any social media account.
While describing impersonation as a criminal offence punishable by law, the release added that members of the public should beware to avoid falling victim of fraudsters impersonating the First Lady on the facebook or any social media outlet. According to him: “For the avoidance of doubt, the first lady of Lagos State, Dame Emmanuella Abimbola Fashola does not operate any Facebook, Twitter or any social media account.
“The attention of the Governor’s Office was recently called to the activities of impostors posing as the wife of the governor of Lagos State via facebook, thus, leading to an investigation, which revealed about four different facebook accounts purportedly operated by the First Lady.
The release said perpetrators of the criminal act should desist henceforth or should be ready to face the music when the long arm of the law catches up with them.
this social site menace is becoming unbelievable.why can’t we just use this site for positive purposes in the interest of d general public?
