The Anambra State Police Command yesterday dismissed as flawed allegations by the Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) that nine of its members were among the 30 corpses found at the Ezu River in the state.
Addressing journalists yesterday, the Commissioner of Police, Mr. Balla Nasarawa described the allegation that his command arrested nine members of MASSOB and secretly executed them as false and unfortunate.
He further said that MASSOB members arrested by the police were charged to court and were currently being remanded in various prisons across the state.
“To put records straight, all suspected criminals arrested under the guise of MASSOB were duly charged to courts for prosecution. As at now, many have been remanded in prison custody facing trials. But at no time did my command arrest persons bearing names mentioned in the publication.”
Nasarawa further stated that MASSOB had been proscribed in the state, adding, “therefore, any person that hides under the canopy or pretex of MASSOB or any illegal organisation for that matter, and commits criminal act, will be arrested and prosecuted.” He said the result of the autopsy carried out on the corpses would soon be made public while calling on the members of the public to help security agencies with information that could help unravel the circumstances surrounding the incident.

When I first discounted de possibilty of Nigerian police being de killers some useless jews want to bit my head of, canu idoits now see that Nigerian securiy agency are not de killers u all made them to be. I still have my own opinion about those corpses. If I should follow my instint, I think I know how those got to Ezu’s river n I also think I know which tribe was responsible for their murder n I think we all know why were they killed. let me tell you all the fact,police nor sars didnt know anything about the ezu corps or what ever,i know the police use to bury any criminal or suspect as they use to call it,so as the case may be i know uwazuruike or any person cant approve of the names given in the massob list,because nigeria citizens dont have anything like data.so all this things is just waist of time if you can believe me,because you cant proof they are massobians,no finger prints and rest of other prove is going on in the country.this is just a long story full stop

I think that police has hand in the killing. Is shared hatred and wickedness against Great Igbos. Tomorrow shall expose them for being guilty of murder. MASSOB members are always the target of police in the SE and some part of SS. Where did the police killed those corpse from, if not the MASSOB members in their custody? Is not right for Nig Police to call MASSOB illegal association or term their activities criminal simply bcos they want to be independent off Nigerian entity. I think that is high time for nNigerian govt to call for referendum or SNC so that they will discuss the continued unity of Nigeria and stop sweepong people intention and desire for self-determination under the carpet.
