Diezani, Daukoru, Igali make BDIC board •Dickson performs inauguration today

The Minister of Petroleum, Dr. Diezani Allison Madueke, Professor Edmund Daukoru and other notable dignitaries drawn from the private sector would be steering the ship of the Bayelsa Development and Investment Corporation, (BDIC). The Board would be inaugurated today. The inauguration of the BDIC advisory board, according to a press statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr. Daniel Iworiso-Markson is aimed at repositioning the economy of the state and as well ensure diversification from oil and gas sector of the economy.

The statement added: ‘In fulfillment of Governor Dickson’s vision of diversifying the state’s economy beyond oil and gas, coupled with its drive to stimulate private sector participation and the need to attract capital, both local and foreign, a move, which clearly informed the administration’s initiative to send a bill to the state House of Assembly establishing the Bayelsa Development and Investment Corporation (BDIC).

The Bayelsa State Government had after several months of consultation with major stakeholders and experts formally constituted the advisory council, board and management of the BDIC as follows: Members of the committee were: Governor Henry Seriake Dickson, Ambassador Lawrence B. Ekpebu, Chief Duate Iyabi, Chief Ayakeme Massah, King Amalate Johnny Turner, King Edmund Maduabebe Daukoru, Ambassador Godknows Boladei Igali, Chief Francis Doukpola,

Dr. Daru Owei, Air Vice Marshall Samuel Atti (retd), Ambassador Emmanuel Oseimiegha Otiotio. Others were: Mrs. Diezani Allison-Maduaeke, HRM King Alfred Papapriye Diete-Spiff, Chief Albert K Horsfall, Chief Joshua B Fumudoh, Chief Anderson Eseimokumor, AVM Larry Koinyan, HRH Chief Ebitimi Banigo, Professor Turner T. Isoun, Mrs. Jane Alek, Dr (Mrs.) Georgina Ngeri-Nwagha and Dr. Koripamo Agarry On Fiduciary (Management) Board Non-Executive Board were: Professor Lawrence B. Ekpebu, (Chairman), Chief Ndutimi Alaibe, Ben Murray-Bruce, Professor Steve Azaiki,

    This is how Mrs Diezani Maduekwe enjoys siphoning the money of Nigeria all in the name of commitee members especially if it has to do with issue of oil in the country. What a shame.
