Emir of Kano, Alhaji Ado Bayero has said the current spate of insecurity in the country is not peculiar to Nigeria alone, saying it is a phenomenon that is afflicting the world. He spoke on Sunday in Kano when the Vice President, Nnamdi Sambo paid him a sympathy visit following the attack on his convoy on January 19, 2013 for which he spent 38 days in London for medical checkup.
According to the monarch , all that was needed to overcome the problem of insurgency in the country was to seek divine intervention through prayer and fasting, while pointing out that God’s intervention in this conflict was in evitable The monarch described the attack on his convoy as an act of God, saying that it was for this reason that Nigerians, irrespective of faith, should unite in prayers for the intervention of the Almighty.
The monarch expressed optimism that the present security challenges in the country would one day come to an end as whatever had a beginning, must have an end. In his brief remark, the Vice President, Nnamdi Sambo expressed sympathy with the loyal father, saying he was in Kano to commiserate with the emirate council, including the Government and people of Kano State over the unfortunate incident.
He added that a number of measures had been put in place by President Goodluck Jonathan to bring an end to the present insurgency, adding that such steps were practical to deal with the situation at hand. Meanwhile, about three persons were killed in separate attacks that occurred in the ancient city of Kano on Sunday. Three other persons were equally injured as a result of the attacks by gunmen who rode on a tricycle to the point where they attacked their victims .
The first attack, according to witnesses, took place in Hotoro Quarters in the metropolitan area, where two persons were killed and three others injured. A second attack took place in Dakata area of the state, where one person lost his life in the gun attack. The spokesman for the Joint Security Task Force, Captain Ikedicje Iweha confirmed the attacks but said the details were still sketchy as they were yet to be briefed by security personnel drafted to the troubled spots. He, however, said the affected areas had been cordoned off by the security operatives.

Which act of God? It is an act of Northern leadership failure which you are part of as one of the custodian of traditions in the North. It could be act of allah, but certainly not God.
This is plain truth, my broda, the monsters they trained to spoil jonathans govement, now it is against them, they call it act of God, na lie it is act of ALLAH, BUHARI, BABANGIDA, ATIKU, SANUSI, And some wicked northern politicians,

The Emir of Kano Alhaji Ado Bayero have spoken and I thank God for his life. Some people who ve not been affected by the attacks by the Terrorist Boko Haram on Nigerians and the attack on the Emirs entourage may be attempted to agree with his eminence that the attack was an act of God,but what about those who ve lost their loved ones and bread winners to this criminals who have continued to carryout their war against the State and innocent/defenceless Nigerians unabated, with occassional brushes or scratches on the Nations highly Security protected in Naiga. What Nigerians need from the North, the sponsors the State Governments and the President Jonathan is very strong/decisive Millitary action against the Boko Haram Terrorists,no matter their positions in the society or link wt the Governments at all levels.Nigerians agree wt the saying that death is act of God,but nobody will choose to be suddenly terminated by fulstra ted individuals unda the guise of religion or whatever, since God did not confer the powers to create or murder on any society under the sun.Though shall not kill, nobody.
Please an act of Boko Haram cannot be an act of God almighty.
There you are wrong emir. What happened to you was not an act of God but that of boko haram, the sons of satan who need blood for their satan god. Emir, you are pathetically igmorant about who God, the Creator, is. He never tempts anyone with evil. The only act of God in your attack is that He mercifully allowed you to escape unhurt because He does not desire the death of a sinner but rather that the sinner should repent and live. So emir this is a good opportunity for you to condess and come out of your sins and out of a religion of violence and blood and be saved.
